In this cut-throat industry you are only as good as your last flight. So Budget Airlines do not listen to all these 'nay Sayers'. Make sure that your next flight is safer and better than your last flight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-61887418925263811002015-09-02T17:10:23.565+08:002015-09-02T17:10:23.565+08:00#Dill Pickles 4:36 PM & #Anon 1:50 PM
Good po...#Dill Pickles 4:36 PM & #Anon 1:50 PM

Good points.

Let me also highlight the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2015 and the list of the top 100 airlines.

In the 2015 rankings, the top 10 airlines are Qatar Airways, SIA, Cathay Pacific, Turkish Airlines, Emirates, Etihad Airways, ANA, Garuda, EVA Air & Qantas.

MAS is #24 (#18 in 2014) & AirAsia is #25 (#31 in 2014).

The top 10 low-cost airlines in 2015 are AirAsia, Virgin America, Norwegian, easyJet, Jetstar, AirAsia X, Indigo, WestJet, Jetstar Asia & Scoot.

It seems to me that AirAsia is holding it's own with regard to the competition.

As for the legal disputes between AirAsia & Malaysia Airports, let that be decided in the courts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-48075058069184080032015-09-02T13:50:56.034+08:002015-09-02T13:50:56.034+08:00Note that Garuda and AirAsia Indonesia are NOT in ...Note that Garuda and AirAsia Indonesia are NOT in the list of airlines banned from the EU (European Union).

Do you suppose that the "on-the-ball" EU aviation regulators slipped up on this?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-9793957455377329792015-09-01T18:42:34.705+08:002015-09-01T18:42:34.705+08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-70354845645775315212015-09-01T16:36:23.151+08:002015-09-01T16:36:23.151+08:00We must not be reading from the same page, bro.
I...We must not be reading from the same page, bro.

I checked the website.

The safety scores of some of the Asian airlines (low-cost and full-service) are as follows:

Lion Air 1/7
Garuda 3/7
Firefly 4/7
AirAsia Malaysia 4/7
MAS 5/7
Thai Airways 5/7
Philippine Airlines 6/7
AirAsia X 6/7
SIA 7/7

You picked on AirAsia. Why? And it has a score of 4/7 for it's Malaysian unit.

Why didn't you highlight that AirAsia X has a safety score of 6/7?

Or that Lion Air (remember the hoo-hah when it set up operations in Malaysia) has the lowest possible score of 1/7.

And why has MAS only managed to score 5/7 when Philippine Airlines has a score of 6/7 and SIA 7/7?

Of course, it wouldn't do to compare MAS with SIA, would it?Dill Picklesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-51950544696255159072015-09-01T16:24:55.505+08:002015-09-01T16:24:55.505+08:00Air Asia likes to blame everyone else but itself. ...Air Asia likes to blame everyone else but itself. It also suffers from "chronic victimitis", a disease which causes Air Asia to always roll on the ground crying foul play as if the entire universe is conspiring against it. I'd stopped travelling with Air Asia five years ago and never recommend the airline to anyone I know.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
