Hamzah Kassim & Inno Associate paranoid of leak to ABITW

There is more information to come out on "Mrs" Zarinah and one is a shocking one. However, let us await her reaction after it was raised in Parliament. It can be quite boring to read this blog only on Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar and her "Mrs".

While SC Chairperson, Zarinah is playing cool at the outside, Khairy had already panicked and already contemplating of quitting Ketua Pemuda UMNO. Inside SC, Zarinah is frantically trying to put some answer for the Minister. Any simplistic denial will lead to more in the next Parliament seating. Bloggers will dig and dig further.

In the meanwhile, there is something really interesting elsewhere.

Since the last we at Another Brick in the Wall (ABITW) wrote about NEAC member Dr Hamzah Kassim and the Human Resource Con-Sultan, Innovation Associate on June 21st, 2010, they have been turning over carpets and furnitures to find bug at the office. These listening bugs are available in Singapore.

They have been scrambling all over the place to figure out who had leaked information about Dr Hamzah Kassim and Khazanah Con-Sultan, Innovation Associate to this blogger?

My advise: Why waste time on such futile effort? They are acting similar to Anwar Ibrahim running off in panic to the Turkish Embassy. It will indicate there is truth in what was written.

No there is truth? So, why not go to the press and deny? No, it will attract attention?

It is the same actually. ABITW has readers from amongst the press community. Probably, press people like BK Siddhu, Dalila, and those financial journalists being intimidate by SC are reading this blog. By panicking, it only inspire this blogger and others to dig up more crap of this outfit.

Even if they are able to trace who this blogger is, unless they dare to kidnap and beat me up Japanese Occupation style to get my sources, don't waste time. This is one Malay fucker you are not getting anything.

Biar pecah perut, tak akan bocor mulut. Pejuang Melayu ini tidak akan bongkar rahsia.

Since Hamzah and IA is in paranoid mode, sadistic me find it thrilling to reveal more. If it isn't true, do call the press and make a denial. Believe me, silence is not necessarily golden. Not when you are a Con-Sultan wasting public money for self enrichment.

Before revealing the new revelation, this is also an opportunity to refresh the same story. Readers should re-read snippets of what was written earlier below:

--------------------------
This lead to a 'tale of shit on a tail being wagged'. The shit will hit the ceiling and dirtied the walls.

It is a case of 'double dipping', by a member of the highest economic planning body i.e. the National Economic Action Council (NEAC), namely one Datuk Dr. Hamzah Kassim, that will destroy every good effort made by the PM.

Hamzah is regarded as a leading human capital expert in the nation and highly spoken of by industry and amongst academics.

He sits in the NEAC having the specific interest in human capital that is being advised, formulated and planned for the Government as policies and implementation programs.

It is strongly believed that PM Najib’s recently announced plan for a ‘Talent Corporation’ in the 10th Malaysia Plan presentation to the Parliament two weeks ago was the brainchild of Hamzah.

Hamzah also sits on the board of Encorp Bhd and thought to have a close association to Dato’ Mohd. Effendi Nawawi, the former Minister in-charge of EPU.

This former ISIS researcher-turned-consultant is the Group CEO for local consultant Innovation Associates (IA). The IA Group was spinoff from Ernest & Young Cap Gemini when the Malaysian partners decided to start their own some eight years ago.

The group’s mainstay of business is consultancy, technology (which include ICT) and human capital management. They even have dedicated subsidiaries for these business activities.

Hamzah is the Group CEO of IA Group of Companies and plays a very active role in the business development of these subsidiaries.

The question arise is how could an NEAC member, who is planning and formulating the human capital for the Government and later become policies, blueprints and implementation programs, be awarded and is still pursuing Government contracts?

Hamzah and IA Group was awarded contracts and is now actively pursuing Government awarded business opportunities under Ministry of Human Resource, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, NCIA, IRDA, ECER and Khazanah Holdings Bhd.

Recently, IA Group formed a joint venture with Felda Prodata Systems Sdn. Bhd. to develop ICT business opportunities.

IA Group is an IT player is believed to ride on Felda’s position being a GLC and PM Najib’s close affinity for the land reform agency that turned into a full fledged business entity.

Hamzah is also believed to be very close to Felda Group CEO Dato’ Mohd. Bakke Salleh, who has been announced as the upcoming Group CEO of Sime Darby Bhd.

Now that Bakke is the Group CEO for a Malaysian MNC with very large regional operations in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Australia and some African states, Hamzah would naturally ‘ride’ on all the opportunities that will open to him and the IA Group.

Hamzah's integrity is at stake here. He is a Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC).

This raises more question. Could and most importantly, should an MACC commissioner, who is also member of the NEAC, canvass in direct and indirect business opportunities and contracts from Government and GLCs?
--------------------------

Today July 15th is Dato Mohd Bakke Mohd Salleh first day at Sime Darby. Our friend, Hamzah and Bakke had a venture then called Felda ProData Sytems. Unfortunately for Hamzah, there is no business generated from Felda ProData.

With him now at Sime Darby, it would be an excellent ground to "plow and harvest". Bakke owe him for the failure at Felda ProData. They must be work flowing for Innovation Associates to do Management Consulting, Technology or Outsourcing in areas of BPO, Human Capital and ICT.

Except for the fat slob money wasting Members of the Board of Directors and Management team, there would be lots of innocent heads to roll. The other BS could be pitched later.

--------------------------

This would also be an opportunity for Omar Ong to put his devious plan to pushover established Malay executives like what he did at Petronas to be replaced by his fellow Chinese in Sime Darby.

Not that this blogger is against Chinese joining Petronas, but not at the expense of existing staff. Go through the mill la. This is not DAP Penang where there is an appointed Chinese DAP officer assigned to every Malay officer and that Malay officer is made irrelevent by design.

That is how Ethos Consulting see as 1Malaysia. Naturally, Ethos will be consulting or skimming the top by getting paid for choosing the Multinational consultants. Those interested must kow-tow to that skinny Aziz Osman-look-a-like muallaf who dreaded being converted young and live to be associated with unprogressive looking Malay Muslims.

Money is no objection for Con-Sultan but his preferences are McKinsey & Associates, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., Booze Allen Hamilton and anything Mat Salleh.

Dogs and Melayu need not apply.

Breaking the Seige: Calls to Action

After Tun Dr Mahathir's speech, the participants were presented with eyewtiness accounts of activits on board of MC Mari Marvara and Rachel Corrie.

Prof Michel Chossudovsky, though not on board, presented a staggering account of the behind the scene happening. Read his article on the Center of Globalisation website here.

It was followed after lunch by a session on the life in Gaza. Participants were described of the grave situation faced by the blockaded Palestinian in Gaza daily.

Typical of Malaysian, we usually are impatient lots when it comes to hair spitting deliberation of the issues and constraints. Also typically Malaysian that we are, we tend to delve directly on the question of what's next.

That was the evening session moderated by Dr Mahathir himself. There was the presence of Ambassadors from Turkey, Iran and War Crimes Committee Head to deliberate on a short speech by Datin Paduka Rosmah Mansor, wife to the Prime Minister.

The conference was closed by an address by the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

In her capacity as one of the major fund raiser for the Freedom Flotilla for Gaza, Rosmah was given the honour to say a few words on future actions that could be done.

In her short but compact speech, she expressed hope that the spirit of Freedom Flotilla and the people who lost lost their lives must live on and inspire others to forge ahead through peaceful means.

Decent citizens of the world must not stop speaking out for the welfare and rights of our fellow men, women and children faced with oppression in Palestine and also all over the world.

Rosmah suggested the first crucial effort would be to open the border crossing to allow humanitarian aids.

Much was said in the conference of the closed Egypt-Palestinian border. Being dependent on the annual US$3 billion aid, Egypt had to conform to Israel's demand to close their Palestinian border.

She express believe that other aids initiatives like the Freedom Flotilla should be continued. In her view, there is widespread disappointment with the inability of nations and international organisation like United Nation to find an amicable solution for Palestine.

The Freedom Flotilla gave hope and demonstrated that the 'people factor' can make an impact. Through NGOs and inter-NGO linkages, be it local or international, people can make a difference by forming formidable entities that can put pressure on state and international organisations.

Although numerous effort for reconciliation have failed to deliver peace, Rosmah still believe that such initiatives should be continued and supported.

Rosmah suggested that all communication channel be used to express our concern and rally help for the Palestinian cause. The global media, electronic and print, is important to continuously highlight and expose the atrocities committed against the Palestinian.

She called upon Palestinian to seek strength from each other and speak with a unified voice.

In his closing address, Tan Sri Muhyiddin expressed believe that a continuous strategic approach by both state and non state players could be able to break the seige.

In his lengthy historical background of the Palestine, Muhyiddin reminded us that the British promise to make Palestine a national home for Jews was made without consulting the Palestinians.

When United Nations partitioned Palestine into Jewish and Arab states in 1947, the superpower treated as if Palestinian do not exists. The world had watch as though the life of Palestinians was not worth a moment of silence even.

These questions and denials of existence and possession persist till today. With the expansive Zionist network at nearly all level of power in the West and in other nations, there are those that defended or chose to be silent over Israel's atrocities in Palestine.

Muhyiddin suggested that we must strengthen our moral fortitude to tell what is right and correct what is wrong. The world must be made to realise that the Israeli aggression in Palestine is totally wrong and unacceptable.

The world superpower, especially the US can no longer be bystanders. They, particularly their citizens, must come out more strongly against illegal blockade and all forms of Israeli aggressions.

The UN Security Council must resume responsibility in maintaining international peace and security by forcing on Israel to end its aggression and occupation of Palestinian and Arab territories.

On the part of Government of Malaysia, Muhyiddin said the parliament on June 7 2010 have adopted a motion to condemn the attack by IDF on the Freedom Flotilla.

The Government have made the necessary measures to call on members of the UN to demand a full investigation of the Israeli attack.

Through the Emergency Special Session of the UN General Assembly, Malaysia will propose the adoption of a resolution to request the General Assembly seek Advisory Opinion from the ICJ concerning Israel's attack on the Freedom Flotilla and demand Israel's immediately lifting of blockade on Gaza.

Malaysia is in the process of consulting with other members of OIC and NAM to support the resolution.

When asked in a press conference after the event if there will be more such effort, Tun Dr Mahathir gave a reassuring "Insya Allah".

He said PGPO is studying the law of the sea to understand the action of the Israelis. If Somalis capturing ships are called pirates, what then are the Israelis.

When asked about a local politician seeking Jewish Zionist acceptance, he replied, “He will go to the extend to buy space in CNN to show he is loyal to his Jewish masters. If he is loyal to his Jewish masters, then he would not be loyal to Malaysia”.

That someone who is trying to cover the eyes of the public of his long Zionist and Israelis association, with a spin to link the Government with Zionism by virtue of using an International PR Company, APCO. Putting such person to high office in Malaysia would be a setback to effort by PGPO to help the Palestinian.

Furthermore, that person was a party to the Annapolis Summit that acknowledge the rogue state of Israel and is a close associate of Paul Wolfowitz, the architect of the Iraq invasion and destruction.

By electing him as Prime Minister, it will unquestionably make Malaysia eventually subservient to and become a friend of Neo-Cons, Zionists, and Israel.

"Rachel Corrie and Mavi Marmara have shown the way" - Dr Mahathir

Speech by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at the Perdana Global Peace Organisation International Conference at the Putra World Trade Centre on 11 July, 2010

Honourable speakers, guests, ladies and gentlemen,

Firstly I would like to welcome all of you to this conference on the siege organised by the Perdana Global Peace Organisation backed by UMNO.

1. We are gathered here today not only to honour the Turkish martyrs who were brutally slaughtered by Israeli commandos on the Mavi Marmara, but also to counter the lies and propaganda by Israel and the Zionist controlled international mass media, that the passengers, specifically the martyrs, were terrorists and therefore the killings were justified.

2. More importantly, we must send a message of hope and solidarity to the Palestinians that the peace loving peoples of the world will never abandon them, come what may and that we will stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their struggle for liberation and for the State of Palestine.

3. Prime Minister Netanyahu has openly and unreservedly declared just a few days ago that Israel will not apologise for the brutal murders committed in international waters in contravention of all conventions and international laws because Israel was justified in the massacre of unarmed people in order to defend Israeli security.

4. Netanyahu said in an interview with Israel’s Channel 1:
“ISRAEL CANNOT APOLOGISE FOR OUR SOLDIERS BEING FORCED TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST THE MOB THAT ALMOST SLAUGHTERED THEM.”
Yet, not one single Israeli commando was killed. In fact, from the testimony of Ken O’Keefe, a passenger on Mavi Marmara, which we have just witnessed from the multi-media presentation, it was the well-armed commandos who killed and injured the passengers.

Far from killing or attempting to kill the commandos, despite their friends being killed, the Turkish passengers managed to disarm three of the commandos and after a doctor had washed away the blood caused by their faces being scratched, released them. Is this the behaviour of a mob bent in slaughtering the commandos?

5. In a speech to the Israeli parliament, Netanyahu elaborated:
“THEY WANT TO STRIP US OF THE NATURAL RIGHT TO DEFEND OURSELVES. WHEN WE DEFEND OURSELVES AGAINST ROCKET ATTACK, WE ARE ACCUSED OF WAR CRIMES. WE CANNOT BOARD SEA VESSELS WHEN OUR SOLDIERS ARE BEING ATTACKED AND FIRED UPON, BECAUSE THAT IS A WAR CRIME.”
6. But where is the evidence that the Israeli commandos were being attacked and fired upon? Such is the distortion of the truth! Even the UN Report chaired by Justice Robert Goldstone, a Zionist and a Jew who found that the Israelis committed war crimes when it invaded Gaza in 2008, was dismissed as mere propaganda, and the said report was not allowed to be tabled and debated in the U.N.

7. Self-defence can take place if there was an attempt at attacking or when actually attacked by the aggressor. Even the Israelis said that the passengers were armed with iron rods (railings) and scissors. Is Israel suggesting that people with scissors and iron railings attacked the fully armed commandos before they boarded the Mavi Marmara? It was to defend themselves after the commandos dropped from the helicopters and killed their friends that the unarmed passengers tried to defend themselves with scissors and iron railings, the only weapons they could lay hands on.

8. However, even without an Independent Inquiry and in spite of the fact that Israel had confiscated and destroyed incriminating videos of the massacre, the international mass media cannot ignore the overwhelming evidence provided by the survivors of Mavi Marmara - journalists and passengers who were able to evade the tight security measures and brought out videos showing that Israeli commandos had commenced firing at the passengers before boarding the Mavi Marmara. IHH, the organisers of the Mavi Marmara has just come out with their report and I am told that this is available in CD for all delegates.

9. Additionally, we cannot ignore the fact that the intent to attack the Freedom Flotilla was made well before the flotilla set sail for Gaza. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defence Minister Ehud Barak declared that Israeli naval ships and commandos would be conducting naval exercises to prepare for the eventual attack on the flotilla and that Israel would do everything possible to prevent the flotilla from reaching Gaza. This was reported by Bloomberg, the Associated Press and even Israeli newspapers, and was affirmed by the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren in an interview on June 2nd, 2010.

10. It came as no surprise that on 31st May 2010, in contravention of international laws, Israeli commandos as directed by the Israeli regime boarded the Mavi Marmara, and in the process shot and killed nine passengers and wounded many more and hijacked the entire flotilla to the port of Ashdod in Israel.

11. Rifat Audeh, a passenger on the Mavi Marmara gave an account of what happened before Israeli commandos boarded the Mavi Marmara. She said:
“THE ISRAELI MILITARY WAS FIRING AT US FROM THEIR VESSELS WHICH APPROACHED THE SIDES OF OUR SHIP AND THE HELICOPTERS FROM ABOVE AS WELL, EVEN BEFORE A SINGLE SOLDIER LANDED ON DECK. HERE WE HAD FULLY ARMED ISRAELI COMMANDOS FIRING LIVE ROUNDS, TEAR GAS, SOUND GRENADES AND OTHER TYPES OF AMMUNITION AT UNARMED ACTIVISTS OF A HUMANITARIAN SHIP AT NIGHT IN INTERNATIONAL WATERS, AND ONCE AGAIN THE MEDIA HAS CRIMINALISED US AND VINDICATED THE PERPETRATORS. LET ME BE CLEAR: WE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO DEFEND OURSELVES AND OUR SHIP AGAINST THIS ILLEGAL BARBARIC ASSAULT AS OUR BROTHERS WERE BEING WOUNDED AND KILLED.”
12. Just as Israel denied using white phosphorous and other banned weapons on the civilians of Gaza in the barbaric invasion in 2008 and the massacre of civilians in Jenin in 2003 until exposed by the Robert Goldstone report and independent observers respectively, Israel is denying again and hopes that this time, the war crimes would be lost with the passage of time.

13. But peace loving nations of the world condemned this wanton aggression and demanded that the siege of Gaza be lifted and a U.N. sanctioned Inquiry be established to investigate into the massacre of the passengers on the Mavi Marmara.

14. Knowing that the United States will not condemn its actions and veto any Security Council resolutions that demanded a full account for the incident, Israel ignored international condemnation and maintained that she has the right to do as she likes. Israel considers itself above international laws and common moral values.

15. This heinous murder of Turkish nationals and the confiscation of the Turkish ship, Mavi Marmara seemed strange to many, as Turkey has been a close strategic ally of Israel for many years, having regular joint military exercises and shared strategic interests. Turkey is also a NATO member. However, it is evident that even an ally would not be spared the criminal behaviour of Israel whether there is justification or not.

16. Such is Israel’s arrogance and her confidence that she can get away with murder. And indeed Israel has been getting away with blatant murder since 1948.

17. Many may have forgotten that such betrayal by Israel of an ally is not without precedent. The ally that was previously betrayed by Israel was none other than the United States. That treachery needs to be retold, if we want to understand and appreciate the strategic implications of the attack on Mavi Marmara.

18. It was on the 8th of June, 1967, soon after the commencement of the six-day war by Israel against her Arab neighbours. President Johnson had given his consent to Israel to launch a limited war against Egypt on the condition that Israel would not widen the war to include any land grab against Jordan and Syria.

19. Egypt had closed the Straits of Tiran to Israeli ships and the limited war was to compel Egypt to reopen the Straits of Tiran to Israeli ships. But, the then Defence Minister Moshe Dayan had different ideas from what was agreed between President Johnson and the then prime minister of Israel, Levi Eshkol and his military Chief of Staff, General Yizhak Rabin. Moshe Dayan, the one-eyed war criminal wanted to use the opportunity to extend the borders of Israel to fulfil the aspirations of the Zionists for a “Greater Israel.” It was in the plan that after the capture of the Sinai Peninsula, Israeli military would be diverted to the Jordanian and Syrian fronts.

20. The USS Liberty was a “spy ship” and its mission was to listen to all Israel’s military communications so that Israel would abide by the agreement not to widen the war after she attacked Egypt.

21. The USS Liberty clearly stood in the way, as President Johnson would know through communication intercepts by the USS Liberty, if Israel reneged on its agreement for a limited war, and proceeded to wage a full scale war against all her immediate neighbours. Time was of the essence. If the USS Liberty was disabled, Israel would by her surprise attack against Syria and Jordan achieve her aims of a Greater Israel before President Johnson could intervene to stop the wider war.

22. General Moshe Dayan therefore ordered the attack on the USS Liberty that left 34 Americans dead and 175 wounded and severely damaged the ship. The captain of a nearby US aircraft carrier scrambled jet fighters to assist the USS Liberty but his orders were countermanded by President Johnson and Defence Secretary Robert McNamara. The excuse for the attack was that Israel made a mistake as to the identity of the USS Liberty. Moshe Dayan hailed the day of the attack, 8th June 1967 as a “Great Day” because the destruction of USS Liberty enabled Israel to extend its borders to encompass the Golan Heights and the entire West Bank and more! The fact that President Johnson had to cover up the murder of his own soldiers and accepted thereafter the fait accompli of a Greater Israel shows all too clearly that the United States was and is still subservient to Israel.

23. The international mass media propaganda at the material time accused the Arab states for starting the war and wanting to annihilate Israel. Once again, we have to ask, who is telling the truth?

24. We need only to examine some public statements of Israel’s military leaders at the given time. On 28th February 1968, Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli Chief of Staff in an interview with Le Monde, conceded that:
“I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT NASSER WANTED WAR. THE TWO DIVISIONS WHICH HE SENT TO SINAI ON 14TH MAY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ENOUGH TO UNLEASH AN OFFENSIVE AGAINST ISRAEL. HE KNEW IT AND WE KNEW IT.”
Menachem Begin, then Minister without Portfolio was quoted by the New York Times in 1982 as saying:
"IN JUNE L967, WE HAD A CHOICE. THE EGYPTIAN ARMY CONCENTRATIONS IN THE SINAI APPROACHES DO NOT PROVE THAT NASSER WAS REALLY ABOUT TO ATTACK US. WE MUST BE HONEST WITH OURSELVES. WE DECIDED TO ATTACK HIM."
25. Given this hidden agenda, how did Israel prepare the propaganda for war against the Arabs? The strategy was simple enough – portray Israel as the victim. In an interview with Al-Hamishmar in 1971, Mordecai Bentove, then Minister of Housing revealed:
“THE ENTIRE STORY OF THE DANGER OF EXTERMINATION WAS INVENTED IN EVERY DETAIL AND EXAGGERATED A POSTERIORI TO JUSTIFY THE ANNEXATION OF NEW ARAB TERRITORY.”
26. This deliberate lie was corroborated by General Haim Barlev, Chief of General Staff Branch, Israel Defence Forces and as reported by the Israeli newspaper Ma’ arrive in 1972. I quote:
"WE WERE NOT THREATENED WITH GENOCIDE ON THE EVE OF THE SIX-DAY WAR, AND WE HAD NEVER THOUGHT OF SUCH A POSSIBILITY."
General Chaim Herzog, Commanding General and first Military Governor of Israeli Occupied West Bank expressed similar views when he said:
"THERE WAS NO DANGER OF ANNIHILATION. ISRAELI HEADQUARTERS NEVER BELIEVED IN THIS DANGER. "
27. From these facts we can draw the following conclusions, namely:
a) Israel treats her allies no different from her enemies if its interests are threatened.
b) It is by deception and outright lies, that Israel wages war.

28. Not for nothing is, “by way of deception” the motto of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence unit. The attack against the Turkish ship and the Turks is thus typical of the Israelis. They knew and yet they shot to kill the Turks with live bullets. Given this sordid history, it comes as no surprise that President Obama chose to express regrets instead of condemnation of the murder of the nine passengers, one of whom was an American citizen of Turkish descent. He was only nineteen years old. Tony Blair, the war criminal and the so-called Special Peace Envoy for the Quartet for the Middle East declared that Israel was acting in self-defence when it attacked the passenger ship Mavi Marmara and hijacked the entire flotilla to the port of Ashdod.

A question remains to be answered – Did President Obama know in advance of the attack on Mavi Marmara and give his consent just as President Johnson did when Israel attacked Egypt in 1967 in the six-day war?

29. It is inconceivable that the intelligence services of the United States were unaware of such plans by the Israeli military. The President of the United States is briefed daily by the intelligence services. And given the special relationship between Israel and the United States, it would be naive to think that Israel would not share intelligence regarding what they consider their mutual security interests. In the just concluded visit by Netanyahu to the White House, the prime minister remarked that:
“THERE IS A DEPTH AND RICHNESS OF THIS RELATIONSHIP THAT IS EXPRESSED EVERY DAY. OUR TEAMS TALK. WE DON’T MAKE IT PUBLIC… WHAT IS NOT TOLD IS THE FACT WE HAVE AN ENDURING BOND OF VALUES, INTERESTS, BEGINNING WITH SECURITY AND THE WAY WE SHARE BOTH INFORMATION AND OTHER THINGS TO HELP THE COMMON DEFENCE OF OUR COMMON INTERESTS. THE PRESIDENT SAID IT BEST IN HIS SPEECH IN CAIRO. HE SAID IT IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE ISLAMIC WORLD, HE SAID, THE BOND BETWEEN ISRAEL AND THE UNITED STATES IS UNBREAKABLE. AND I CAN AFFIRM THAT TO YOU TODAY.”
30. Yet, the Muslim world continues to be taken in by President Obama’s rhetoric that he is committed to change and he is for peace. His actions contradict his spoken words, for upon receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, President Obama then escalated the war in Afghanistan, a war started by President GW Bush. It is not surprising that the UN chose not to allow a debate on Malaysia’s resolution condemning Israel for its dastardly acts.

31. Given this reaffirmation by President Obama and Netanyahu, we must not be deluded into believing that there will be peace, genuine peace in the Middle East anytime soon. On the contrary, war preparations are in place. The same lies have been repeated. Have we not heard the same refrain, that Israel’s very existence is threatened by her neighbours? A thief shouting thief as he runs away with the booty is a most effective way of deflecting focus on his thieving. That is Israel’s strategy.

32. Iraq was accused of having weapons of mass destruction so as to appear to be a threat to Israel’s existence. Israel demanded that Iraq be invaded and its people subjugated. And so in 2003, Iraq was invaded. But as we now know Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction. Iraq was attacked because the plans for the invasion of Iraq were laid much earlier. In 1996, the then prime minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu commissioned the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies to prepare a blue print to enable Israel to be the dominant regional power in the Middle East. The report, A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm sets out the new paradigm for Israel. According to its authors, the centerpiece of the recommendations was the removal of Saddam Hussein as the first step in remaking the Middle East into a region friendly to Israel. Their plan also signaled a radical departure from the peace-oriented policies of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated by a member of an extreme right-wing Israeli group.

33. One of the pillars of this new policy was the abandonment of the "comprehensive peace" with the entire Arab world. Israel’s new strategy would be to work jointly with Jordan and Turkey to "contain, destabilise, and roll-back" those entities that were regarded as threats to all three (i.e. Israel, Turkey and Jordan), firstly by destroying Iraq and then Syria and finally Iran. This is the significance of Turkey in the overall scheme of Netanyahu under the “Clean Break” master plan.

34. Now that Iraq and Saddam Hussein have been disposed, the target has shifted to Iran as Syria is seen to be a lesser threat. The world is made to believe once again the lie that Israel’s existence is being threatened by a nuclear armed Iran, notwithstanding that El Baradie, the former head of the IAEA had repeatedly stated that there is no evidence that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. President Bush had threatened Iran with tactical nuclear weapons. President Obama is no different for he has said that “all options are on the table” in confronting Iran.

35. And once again, the United States at the instigation of Israel has compelled the UN Security Council to impose crippling sanctions to weaken the resolve of the Iranians to resist Israel’s aggressive designs. We can observe a pattern in the war preparations from recent examples, namely Iraq and Gaza. Broad sanctions were imposed on Iraq and Gaza to starve and weaken the people before the military invasion in 2003 and 2008 respectively. If the past is a precedent, then it is a matter of time before the war criminals in Israel and the United States launch another war of aggression, once Iran has been weakened by sanctions.

36. However, Israel may have miscalculated the willingness of Turkey to be a partner in its grand design to contain Iran and Syria as envisaged in the Clean Break blue print. As it stands at the present moment, the encirclement of Iran – Afghanistan in the East, occupied Iraq in the West and Turkey in the North rests on shaky foundations. But this may not deter the warmongers from attempting to fulfill their design for a “New Middle-East”. There is already a map showing how the Middle East would be carved out to serve Israel’s strategic interests.

37. It is left to be seen whether Israel’s blood lust for wars of conquest can be accomplished without Turkey as part of the equation as stipulated in the Clean Break blue print. Turkey has demanded that Israel apologises for the brutal murder of its nationals, failing which Turkey would sever diplomatic relations with Israel. Presently, Turkey has ceased all military collaboration with Israel and a few days ago had declared that Israeli military planes are no longer allowed to enter Turkey’s airspace. It is early to say whether these are temporary misalignments or potential major paradigm shifts in the foreign policy of Turkey.

38. The recent actions of prime minister Erdogan provide grounds for hope that the forces for peace can forge a broad alliance to isolate Israel and thwart its grand design to wage wars of aggression to establish a Greater Israel and to be the undisputed regional power. The public dressing down of Shimon Peres, the President of Israel at the World Economic Forum by premier Erdogan was unprecedented as even the President of the United States has not dared to rebuke publicly any Israeli leaders.

39. It is in the context of this geopolitical matrix that we must applaud the courageous leadership of Prime Minister Erdogan in supporting the efforts of IHH peace activists on board the Mavi Marmara as part of the Freedom Flotilla to break the siege of Gaza. The supreme sacrifice by the nine Turkish peace activists will not be in vain, as by their deaths, the true nature of the Zionist regime, its barbarity and ugliness has been laid bare before the world:

Israel is…

A brutal regime that has no respect for international law;
A brutish regime that has no qualms in murdering unarmed civilians on a humanitarian mission;
A brutish regime that has created the largest open prison in the world, the enslavement of 1.5 million people within its borders, through blockade and economic sanctions of Gaza;
A brutish regime that brainwashes its young to be mindless killers of unarmed civilians, men, women and children;
A brutish regime that practices apartheid.
A brutish regime that wages wars through deception and lies.
A brutish regime that practices and fosters state terrorism.

40. When the Perdana Global Peace Organisation visited Cyprus in July 2009 to collaborate with the activists of the free Gaza Movement, we did not expect that our idea of a flotilla of cargo ships and passenger boats manned by volunteers from all over the world would have such an impact on the conscience of world leaders who before had stood aloof and cared not for the sufferings of the Palestinians. Following the invasion of Gaza in December 2008, more than 1,400 civilians, men, women and children, in fact mainly children were slaughtered, over 20,000 homes were destroyed, schools and hospitals were levelled to the ground. Many countries pledged billions in aid, but the pledges were not translated into concrete action to alleviate the sufferings of the Palestinians in Gaza. It was hypocrisy at its very worst.

41. While world leaders turned their backs on Gaza, peace activists the world over came together to challenge the might of Israel and expose their crimes. George Galloway started the Viva Palestina Land Convoy which smashed the land blockade and brought hundreds of truckloads of aid to Gaza. The Free Gaza Movement had more humble beginnings. They started by sending small fishing boats to break the sea blockade. On one occasion, their boat was rammed and the volunteers were thrown into the sea to drown. On another occasion, fully armed Israeli commandos boarded their boat, The Spirit of Humanity and hijacked it to Israel. The world took scant notice of these happenings.

42. We realised that small fishing boats would not do and that a flotilla of cargo ships and passenger boats would be needed to challenge Israel’s navy. And as they say, the rest is history. Malaysia’s contribution in this effort was the purchase of a cargo ship and two passenger boats, the former named after the courageous American peace activist Rachel Corrie who was crushed to death by an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) bulldozer when she acted as a human shield to prevent the demolition of Palestinian homes in 2003. She gave her life so that others could live in freedom and with dignity. Her country had forgotten her, but we were moved by her determination and sacrifice to free the Palestinians.

43. Imbued with the spirit of Rachel Corrie, our Irish colleagues – Jenny and Derek Graham nurtured and brought back to life the abandoned cargo ship MV Linda and appropriately renamed her MV Rachel Corrie. The ship was abandoned by her owners and was auctioned for 70,000 Euros. She set sail for Gaza on 14th May and immediately encountered problems. She had a broken propeller shaft and had to dock for repairs. She could not join the flotilla in time and so the flotilla led by the Mavi Marmara set sail for Gaza.

44. Following her repairs, the Rachel Corrie, determined as ever, headed for Gaza. On board were five Irish volunteers Derek and Jenny Graham and my good friend Denis Halliday, the former Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations as well as the Nobel Peace Laureate, Mairead McGuire. There were six Malaysians, two representatives from the Perdana Global Peace Organisation, a Member of Parliament, a volunteer from the Ministry of Information and two TV3 journalists.

45. Rachel Corrie was all alone, sailing at a mere 8 knots but she never waivered in her resolve to reach Gaza. After the massacre of the nine Turkish nationals on board the Mavi Marmara, massive disinformation was initiated against Rachel Corrie. It was rumoured that she had turned tail and headed back for Ireland. Another report stated that she was heading for the safe haven of Cyprus and might even head for Turkey. This propaganda was made notwithstanding that the Captain and his crew together with all the activists on board had declared in a press statement that in honour of the martyrs they were more determined than ever to sail towards Gaza and bring badly needed aid, comprising of cement, medicine and equipment, toys and educational materials.

46. Knowing that Israel had just massacred nine passengers and wounded many more and that Israeli commandos may act similarly, Rachel Corrie and her passengers were not deterred and were ready to face Israeli brutality. Israel deployed four naval ships, two fast patrol boats and six zodiacs to intercept and hijack the Rachel Corrie to Israel. This was an act of cowardice by the Israelis – to deploy naval ships and armed commandos to hijack a small cargo ship with unarmed passengers and crew. By this single act of defiance, Rachel Corrie exposed Israeli cowardice to the world.

47. This is but a beginning in our collective efforts to bring peace to the long suffering Palestinians. Israel under tremendous international pressure declared that it would be easing the blockade and would allow more aid to enter Gaza. Israel must take us for fools to believe in her lies.

48. Let us not forget that Netanyahu is the prime minister of Israel, the same man who in 1996 commissioned the blue print, the Clean Break which rejected a comprehensive peace in the Middle East and opted for war – to be precise the destruction of Iraq, Iran and Syria so as to impose peace on its own terms. The present policy of Israel is but the continuation of the strategies laid down in that blue print.

49. Israel has succeeded in destroying Iraq and emboldened by this success is now moving to the next phase of the blue print, the destruction of Iran. The time tested modus operandi of imposing harsh sanctions followed by a vicious invasion has already started. In the just concluded visit to the White House, Netanyahu made the following remarks at the joint press conference with President Obama. He said with regard to sanctions on Iran:
“I THINK THE SANCTIONS THE PRESIDENT SIGNED THE OTHER DAY ACTUALLY HAVE TEETH. THEY BITE. THE QUESTION IS – HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED TO BITE IS SOMETHING I CANNOT ANSWER NOW. BUT IF OTHER NATIONS ADOPT SIMILAR SANCTIONS, THAT WOULD INCREASE THE EFFECT.”
50. Let us be very clear. Sanctions amount to laying siege, to starve and weaken the enemy. It pays to remind ourselves of what Dov Weisglass, an Israeli aid to Prime Ministers, said of sanctions;
“THE IDEA IS TO PUT THE PALESTINIANS ON A DIET BUT NOT TO MAKE THEM DIE OF HUNGER.”
The invasion would meet with little resistance after that. This is the US’ and Israeli strategy. It is a strategy based on cowardice.

51. But in spite of two years of sanctions against Gaza before the preceding invasion of December 2008 an invasion which lasted until mid-January 2009, the Gazans withstood the siege. The Palestinians were not so easily cowed.

52. Hence the blockade of food and medicine. It is not about preventing arms from reaching Gaza. The blockade of the food, medicine and cement convoy is about weakening the people of Gaza for the next orgy of slaughter. Israel and the United States have no intention to see a Palestinian State and for the Palestinians to live side by side with the Israelis. Netanyahu has not said since becoming the prime minister of Israel that he has abandoned the Clean Break blue print, and neither has President Obama demanded that he should.

53. The warmongers continue to propagate that the ideological enemy of the West is Islam and the Zionist controlled mass media have not ceased their efforts to demonise Muslims. In the circumstances, the path for all of us, the peace loving people of the world, is clear. We must be vigilant and be prepared to resist any attempt by the warmongers to unleash another war, be it with Iran, Syria and or any other country.

54. We must pursue with greater vigour our efforts to criminalise war. War is mass killing, is massacre and must be made a crime. It is heartening to note that recently, the International Criminal Court is also of the view that war of aggression is a crime, but the United States under the present leadership of President Obama opposed vehemently this noble initiative. So once again, we are being confronted with the inevitable conclusion – there is no change, the status quo remains and for these leaders war is their preferred option.

55. In the circumstances, we must strive to create a broad coalition for peace and to expose and resist the grand designs of these warmongers. Rachel Corrie and Mavi Marmara have shown the way. The NGOs and the volunteers have cleared the path. We must build on this momentum and surge forward. We must call upon all governments not to be hypocritical and stand up to this rogue State called Israel.

56. Israel cannot be allowed to continue in its present path and exist as an Apartheid state. Just as the world would not stand for a White South Africa, it should also not allow an apartheid state to continue its oppression of the Palestinians. We will struggle for as long as it takes.

We will break the siege.

Palestine will be liberated from Israeli oppression.

Thank you.

Zarinah and "Mrs" raised in Parliament again, Khairy turn tantrum

Wee Choo Keong continued to blast away on the questionable coverup, selective investigation and conflict of interests practices of SC Chairperson, Tan Sri Zarinah and her husband Dato Azizan Abdul Rahman in Parliament on Thursday.

The publicity generated by Wee got Khairy nervous. Why would he not be nervous?

If the pressure continues, Government is capable of reopening the ECM Libra -Avenue case again. Without any safety blanket and decreasing ground support, Khairy could see trouble ahead.

[Read Bro_Jinggo pre-empting for his Chief with a recycle statement here. The statement hardly answer issues raised in this blog.]

Khairy's desperation and nervousness is so noticeable when he resorted to call Wee Choo Keong as the "Chinese Ibrahim Ali." Where such association arise is baffling.

It shows Khairy as uptight and stressed in his showdown with Dato Ibrahim Ali. While, Ibrahim is in his usual jovial self and enjoying the SMS of humorous critic of Khairy sent daily.

The Malaysian Insider reported Khairy tweeted his remark when Wee raised the issue of SC Chairperson and her husband in Parliament yesterday.

He also described Wee Choo Keong as sub-standard MP.

That is no insult at all. Maybe there is something good there. It shows Khairy never took up any lesson in name calling at Oxford. He kept to his training to be a prim and proper "brown" gentlemen. Some say black gentleman.

Unfortunately, he never manage to put theory into practise. He was tainted at an early age for compromising his moral up bringing at Oxford. It is an open secret that is near impossible to deny with an excuse. Nor will the inner circle be able to deny that.

He was corrupt and abused the power and influence of his father-in-law. It explains for his ungentlemanly arrogant behavour.

If he doesn't play his card right, the crime of the past will catch up. His exchanges with Ibrahim cost his politics. His immediate past could resurface and cost his freedom. He knows it.

To know what was said by Wee that made Khairy nervous, read extract of yesterday's hansard of Parliament session:

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Terima kasih Timbalan Menteri. Saya tahu Yang Berhormat Timbalan Menteri juga hendak turut contoh bosnya Yang Berhormat Padang Rengas, hendak lari dirilah ini hendak gulung sudah, cepat hendak duduk. Seperti jawab masa RMK. Kalau dia ada 48 safety boxes bosnya mungkin ada more than hundred.

Timbalan Yang di-Pertua [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Yang Berhormat.

Terima kasih.

Timbalan Yang di-Pertua [Datuk Ronald Kiandee]: Yang Berhormat cukup.

Datuk Liew Vui Keong: Terima kasih Tuan Yang di-Pertua.

It is where the trial will begin.

Tuan Wee Choo Keong [Wangsa Maju]: Minta penjelasan. Sedikit sahaja. Terima kasih Yang Berhormat Timbalan Menteri.

We have a shock but no customer at all.

So out of touch. Kita masih practice lagi.

Terima kasih Yang Berhormat Timbalan Menteri.
If Khairy is so nervous, the least he could do is not to cry and complain to mummy like an anak omak.

SC investigation merely decoy?

The manner Securities Commission (SC) Investigators are roughing up journalists seems as though SC is zeroing in on corporate player, Dato Ishak Ismail.

The reason is obvious. Ishak has a notorious reputation as a market rigger. He is someone SC would have wanted to lay their hands on for a long time.

Not only that, Ishak is infamous amongst Bankers for getting into trouble with Banks and giving them a hard time to recover his bad loans. In a case with one Bank, he was able to strike off the whole claim due to technicality.

One anonymous commentator claim to be "Dato Ishak Ismail" posted a comment to deny he sold the Kenmark shares on its way down. Instead, he claimed he had bought Kenmark shares.

Why then is SC going after Ishak in such manner?

In analysing corporate, besides reading present and past official documents and records, establishing the personality links and associations usually help tremendously.

To start with, let's understand the background of SC Chairperson, Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar.

She has another famous or to some, infamous sibling i.e. Zainah Anwar of the Islam liberal group, Sister-in-Islam. But that is not where the link we are looking for.

Zarinah has one elder sister by the name of Datin Marina. Her sister is married to Dato Mat Abit. Tok Mat is a nephew to but was raised by Dato Onn Jaafar. Automatically, that makes him an uncle to Dato Hishamuddin Hussein Onn.

One of his daughter married Dato Mokhzani Tun Mahathir, which makes him berbesan to Tun Dr Mahathir.

On the other side of the coin, Tok Mat Abit is a very close friend of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

It is not confirmed whether her appointment to SC Chairmanship by Tun Abdullah was due to this relationship. Her name may have turned up on someone's recomendation and the family relationship only smooth things.

The person very much responsible to recommend names into positions in the "financial" side of Government and GLCs during the time of Tun Dol is the then Minister of Finance II, Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop.

Some may be coming from him but any important appointments then would be "advised" or approved by the "Kitchen Cabinet" of Tun Dol.

The "Kitchen Cabinet" basically comprise of Tun Dol's immediate family member - loudest and most assertive being Kamaluddin, Khairy, Nori, and outsiders believed to be Norza Zakaria and Azlina Mohd Said.

Sources claim Norza, since undergoing his corruption case in Temerloh, have expressed in private that he was never part of that inner circle.

Others closely associated also were Tun Musa Hitam (hopefully soon former Chairman of Sime Darby and DPM), Dato Kalimullah (Former GEIC of NST), Dato Anuar Zaini (former Chairman of Bernama), Dato Saghul (Director General of BTN), etc.

Kalimullah was also another possible link that help to float Zarinah's name.

Kalimullah is a "business partner" of "Mrs." Zarinah, Dato Azizan Abdul Rahman by virtue of being Chairman in Ekowood and other business venture. And, he is a close and long time friend of Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop.

By having Zarinah there, it help to serve their purpose of getting their corporate exercises through.

Kalimullah's immediate agenda was the takeover of Avenue and it was timely. The market legend is that Kalimullah and Khairy paid her a visit to tell her they want Avenue.

By being new, the PAC Chairman, Dato Sharir was protective of her and she cleared the enquiry easy. The SC's approval became the basis for Nor Yakcop and MoF officials argument.

Having established the names of people linked with Zarinah, we could try to find of any links between these names with Ishak.

One name from the past provide interesting link is Kenneth Eswaran. This information was retrieved from surfing the Internet for information on Mun Loong:
Kenneth Eswaran, a newcomer to the corporate scene, bought into Benta Plantations Bhd via a reverse-takeover, acquiring 31% of this company and 28.1% of Mun Loong Bhd. Eswaran's partner, who owned a further 30% of Benta, is Haji Ishak Ismail, of Idris Hydraulic.

Benta changed its name to Best World Land Bhd and, in 1994, Eswaran was reportedly interested in a 250,000 ha timber concession in Southern Laos and was expected to sign a deal with the Laotian authorities at the beginning of 1995 and to undertake logging activities during that year. The concession would allow logging for 6 or 7 years.

Eswaran was reported to be setting up a new company, with both the listed vehicles in which he was involved (Benta—now Best World Land—and Mun Loong) investing 55% and 45% repectively in the new company.

Total investment in the new concession was to be about RM60 million (US$24 million). Because the timber business was new to these companies, Eswaran was believed to be scouting around to hire timber experts.

Best World Land Bhd sold its equity in Mun Loong Bhd at the end of 1995 for a loss, reportedly in order to concentrate on its core business of property development. It is not clear whether the Laos deal was successfully concluded or not.
Best World has since changed name to become Multivest Resources Berhad. The profile available here.

Mun Loong as many would have known became the public vehicle of Abrar led by Anwar Ibrahim's boys Dr Wan Hasni and now Australian based Sidek Ghouse. Nor Yakcop was part and parcel of that outfit.

There is an old article from Malaysia Today in my personal archives entitled "Nor Mohd Yakcop: Royal Commission of Inquiry in 2008?" dated February 2008.

In case, some reader is not happy about refering to article associated with Raja Petra, rest assured that the article was not written by RPK but by an anonymous I believe is credible.

The excerpt from the article below:

"Nor Mohd Yakcob had just been fired from Bank Negara at that time. Seeing that Anwar was selling the Islamic bank, Islamic toothbrush, Islamic toilet, Islamic bread, etc., Nor Mohd got Bank Negara to jump on Anwar Ibrahim's Islamic bandwagon.

So, as a favour, Anwar got Rashid Hussain to give Nor Mohd a job. Rashid Hussain gave him a car, a driver, and a small office with no staff.

Then Wan Muhd Hasni and Abrar Corp came along. Muhd Husni was Anwar's carpetbagger man. So Nor Mohd began to fall in love with him too. In no time Nor Mohd joined Abrar as Executive Chairman.

Since old habits die hard, soon Nor Mohd started doing the same old things that got him in trouble at Bank Negara, i.e. breaking rules -- or Mohd's expertise: getting around standard procedures. That is how he became the subject of the Police Report mentioned above.

When Nor Mohd joined Abrar he was offered a chance to own 5% of Mun Loong Bhd. He thought it was a great deal. Since Anwar was the Finance Minister, a RM30 million loan was arranged from Bank of Commerce for Nor Mohd to buy shares in Mun Loong (later Abrar Corp).

But they knew nuts about Mun Loong's business - which was a retailer of medium- and high-end ladies attire for Chinese working women. (What a combo - a bunch of Islamic nuts taking over a retailer that sold mini-skirts to Chinese girls!! Ha. ha.)

Beore they could say abracadabra, Abrar-Mun Loong started going bankrupt. Nor Mohd's RM30 million loan was secured by the same Abrar shares. When the share price started going through the floor, the value of the security dropped and Nor Mohd had no money to pay back the loan.

But the report does not say to whom Nor Mohd pay the RM30 million that he borrowed from Bank of Commerce. Obviously to the vendor of the Mun Loong shares. Who else? Possibly Abrar itself, Wan Muhd Hasni, etc.

The report does say that since Wan Muhd Hasni was boss of Abrar Corp, Abrar Global Asset Management (AGAM) and Abrar International, he gave specific instruction to AGAM to invest RM43 million in investments of his choosing, not AGAM's choosing.

The RM30 million which Nor Mohd borrowed from Bank of Commerce could have been be part of this RM43 million. This means Nor Mohd was suckered.

But the report does not say something else of an even more serious nature. AGAM or Abrar Global Asset Management was an asset management company, a fund manager. It was licensed to take funds from the public and invest the money in shares, bonds, etc.

So here is the picture. Abrar Corp is the holding company, going bankrupt at that time. AGAM is a subsidiary with a license to accept money from the public. Wan Mohd Hasni and Nor Mohd Yakcob were at the top of the Abrar food chain. They were the bosses. Hmm.

As a fund manager, AGAM was obliged to act prudently in managing public funds. They should invest some of their funds in blue chip shares, some in Government bonds, and maybe smaller amounts in more risky investments. There is a ranking of risks. The riskier the investment, then the lesser you invest or don't invest at all.

This is where AGAM did a more scandalous thing. They diverted a large portion (some say 95%) of the public funds that had been entrusted to them into just one investment - the shares of Abrar Corporation. This means they were using public funds to prop up the share price of their holding company, Abrar Corporation. Is anyone surprised anymore that Abrar went bust (into PN4)?

Wan Muhd Hasni and Nor Mohd Yakcob were all shareholders of Abrar Corp. Nor Mohd had even taken a RM30 million loan to buy Abrar shares. So when the Abrar share price started going down, they got AGAM to use public investor funds to prop up the share price of Abrar. This is scandalous.

Then, when the bottom still fell out of the Abrar share prices, the scenario in the Police Report above happened - RM13 million was diverted from Abrar to pay off Nor Mohd's personal debts with Bank of Commerce. This is Criminal Breach of Trust. But who exactly authorised the diversion of the funds? As beneficiary, Nor Mohd is certainly in the wrong. But who were the accomplices inside Abrar?

There was no investigation by the SEC which was chaired by Munir Majid at that time.
The cast of characters:

Faris Najhan was a softie 'budak jambu'. Over the course of 1998, as the CEO of Abrar, he looked increasingly worried as he came to work everyday. I used to see him sitting moodily at his desk, just staring at anyone who came to the office.

Munir Majid was indeed the Chairman of the SEC at that time. He was a buddy of Nor Mohd Yakcob and another lover of Anwar. As the Police Report says, as Chairman of SEC he did not take any action against Abrar or Nor Mohd Yakcob.

After Nor Mohd became Finance Minister 2 in 2004, he appointed the unemployed Munir Majid as Chairman of MAS. Munir spent millions of MAS' funds buying paintings of fat women and living like a king off MAS' perks and benefits. We all know that part of the story.
What do we have now to conclude?

Nor Mohd Yakcop was part of a scam to buy Mun Loong which later became Abrar Corporation. He may have the motivation to ensure whoever is SC Chairman would not go after his illegal transaction at Abrar.

The Mun Loong that Nor Yakcop and Abrar bought was purchased from Kenneth Eswaran. SC's target, Dato Ishak Ismail was a partner of Eswaran in Benta Plantation (now known as Multivest Resources.)

Can there be some sore issues between Nor Yakcop and Eswaran that Nor Yakcop wish to get even by getting Zarinah to go after Ishak with vengence?

That's speculative and too many layers. Missing is the motive.

[A check of an old record of Mun Loong could provide a lead. But I am kind of lazy and only reached for 1997 copy already available on my desk. I have been looking up on Nor Yakcop's past and found something interesting. But that's for future posting.]

What is noticably interesting found in KLSE's 1997 handbook is that the major shareholders - namely Wan Hasni, Sidek Ghouse, Nor Yakcop and si budak jambu - was only 43.76%. There must be someone invisible holding a sizable portion to maintain control for the group.

One source SMS me an interesting information. A Bloomberg report in 1995/96 said Ishak was also Eswaran's partner in Mun Loong. This needs confirmation from some kaki inside Bloomberg to look over inside it's old archives.

Assuming my source was good, Ishak may have known of Eswaran plan in the Laos timber and had bought some shares in Mun Loong also. But when the deal fell through, he helped Eswaran get some Anwar's boys to buy Mun Loong.

His held shares in Mun Loong and later Abrar quietly remains as claimed by the Bloomberg reports.

Back then, both Ishak and Nor Yakcop were Anwar Ibrahim's corporate boys. If it is true, Ishak was lending another Anwar's boys a hand.

Now, Zarinah, Nor Yakcop, Kalimullah and Ishak all have Anwar's link, old or new.

In yesterday's tip-off, our corporate intel source said Zarinah had allegedly been passing insider information to Dato Soh Chee Wen and Dato Kalimullah to make money in the market. Both are said to be donors to Anwar's political fund.

If we are to think outside the box for a second, could the intimidation on journalist just a decoy to get public outcry so that investigation against Ishak stop?

It is possible because the whole media circus have left SC's case against Ishak weak. Maybe somebody up there wanted it that way.

Yes, it is still maybe. Many maybe-s.

SC's intimidation and collusions raised in Parliament

Konsensus Bebas YB Wee Choo Keong of Wangsa Maju have been closely watching the Securities Commission issue in the newspaper and blogs.

In late afternoon today, he raised the SC issue in Parliament. He touched on the intimidation against reporters, and collusions to coverup, abuse of power, selective investigation and prosecution, and lackadaisical attitude towards several high profile cases.

Through a newspaper friend, yours truly managed to secure his full speech and reproduced below:

Tuan Yang Di-Pertua,

Beliau di-soal-siasat sehari selepas Cik B.K.Sidhu.

Will Zarinah continue with her "elegence silence" to ignore calls upon calls to state her position? Looks likely, this will not stop until she state her position.

More exploits of Mr Fix It

"Kenmark Board under probe."

That was The Malay Mail's front page headline yesterday. But it is business as usual for Securities Commission.

The SC spokesman email response only reads as: "We are looking into actions of all key persons, including those on the board and the management.

"We will take the appropriate enforcement action where there are breaches of securities law."

Interesting.

SC Chairperson, Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar and her husband breached securities law and are acting in conflict of interest.

Nothing happen.

It seems there were other complains and investigation called off. There is the selective persecution to protect certain characters close to her and husband, but go hard on others.

Zarinah chose to continue to ignore allegations made against her and the voices of the journalist community. She is playing hard to get.

Fine and well. Here comes the full monty.

Fixing Tenco

Commentator, Singh is King alerted us of Tenco Bhd, now known as Nagamas International Bhd. It was a PN17 company up until September 2007.

There was a capital recontruction involving a capital reduction of RM0.50 for existing RM1.00 shares. Thereafter it was consolidated on a 2 to 1 basis into RM1.00 each Nagamas Share. Then there was a rights issue of 13,050,000 on basis 1 for 2.

A special issue of 11,745,000 (30%) new Nagamas Shares to Tan Sri Dato. (Dr) Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman, Datuk Azizan bin Abd Rahman and MB Longji Sdn Bhd. With that in place, Nagamas applied to Bursa to lift its shares on August 27 2007 and shares resumed trading on September 25th 2010.

According to Singh the King, Azizan was not a registered shareholder of Tenco as of July 2007.

As part of the exercise to qualify for the rights and special issue, Azizan had actually bought 1.9 million Tenco shares on March 2007 on the cheap, just five months before Tenco was to be restructured and lifted its lifting status by SC.

Strange.

Is the commentator right to ask why he is not rregistered as shareholder as of July 2007 when he bought shares in March?

Entering company before a major corporate exercise is the same modus operandi as Khairy's entry into ECM Libra, just before ECM Libra proposed takeover of Avenue Capital.

By July 2008, Mr Fix It appeared as a shareholder of Nagamas via Nominees. He became a Director on October 2007.

Unfixable Isyoda

In the case of Isyoda, Mr Fix It turned Humpty Dumpty and doesn't look able to solve the company's current predicament. An SMS came in from a reliable source on the latest situation relating to Isyoda:
DYMM Tuanku, Y.Bhg Tan Sri, Dato Seri, Dato, Datin, Tuan dan Puan.

Shah Alam hospital project progress updates.

Sunshine Fleet has filed a civil suit in High Court against Bank Rakyat and GMH restraining both from paying the subcontractors. Due to this, the Bank now is withholding all interim payments they received from JKR pending the civil suit by Sunshine Fleet.

The bank is not paying anyone at the time being and thus the progress at site has slipped further. JKR skala registered 18 days delays, it should be 12days after claim no. 30. Our internal cpm3 remains at delayed 67days after claim no. 30.

Workers now only stands at 196 persons, where it should be 850 workers by now if according to planning. it was 331 workers on friday. Sub contractors has not been paid since 5 June 2010. We hope the government can intervene in this situation to avoid the project being complicated further.

From CEO of GMH
This time Mr Fix It can't fix it.

Mr Fix It's Free Lunch

The exploit of Mr Fix have been known for quite awhile amongst Bankers. Typical of wheeler dealer, he would hawk his proposal around amongst the Bankers, Investment Bankers, Brokers, and high networth individuals.

Azizan earned a reputation as a kedekut nak mampus. He meets Bankers for expensive lunch at posh eateries. Off course, it is paid by Bankers. After a while, they realised that he had no real intention to do business but was merely going for free expensive lunches.

Before getting big ones like Nagamas, Isyoda and whatelse we do not know, he must have been getting lots of such free lunch for fixing things.

Commentator, Kaur is Queen, which one can guess as related to another commentator Singh is King, was hinting of something funny in Iris Corporation.

During ECM Libra's questionable takeover of Avenue, Iris was the Company that got reprimanded by SC but ECM Libra was the one that got away.

Kaur asked Azizan of a character named J Singh, which presumably could be an associate of his.

She further asked about Dato Kris Azman, a Director in Securities Commission that this blog had written before for not just practising "under the table" but openly "above the table." He has disappeared from the scene and Zarinah successfully hushed up his disappearance.

It seems MACC had came in and interviewed her and Dato Kris Azman for some suspicous conduct.

There are the cases of Dato C K Weng (Ng Yen Yen's new best friend) and Dato Chua Ma Yu raised. But only details on Chua Ma Yu given.

Chua Ma Yu was Tan Sri Rashid Hussein's former partner in Rashid Hussein Securities. According to Kaur, he was fine last year for insider trading. There was no notice and press release. The information was hidden in only the SC website.

Was all these little favours by Mr Fix It to pay his free lunches?

Commentator George Choo complained of possible collusion with the Directors in the listing of Tat Sang Berhad. In it's first year of listing, the Company announced heavy losses when the prospectus before listing indicate that the company will be profitable.

Fixing With The Enemy

The practise of helping friends seems to prevail in SC, particularly the couple's friends like Dato Kalimullah Hasan, Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop, Khairy and Tun Dol's family.

This one is for the road.

One reliable informer told this blogger that she is not partisan. That is good but UMNO will not take this lightly for her giving insider tip to Dato Soh Chee Wen and Dato Kalimullah.

Not only is giving insider tips an offense, but she gave tips to financier and new donor to PKR.

More as it comes.

Zarinah can go ahead and keep ignoring. But we'll keep coming with more.

My Say
