It may sound like I have overshot my defense...Paul

It may sound like I have overshot my defense of NMY, but the opening paras of the posting reads:

This blog will not hold back our resentment and demand for the resignation or dismissal of Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop from cabinet.

He is corrupt and practise nepotism extensively, destructive in his management of GLCs and policy formulation, and an outright law breaker.

--------------

That comment was made in the context of tossing back to Kit Siang ad Tony Pua for not velifying Anwar who as MOF was responsible.

Anwar cover-up for NMY and that became the position for Dr Mahathir. Anwar provided him a job in Abrar. It is a repeated game of Anwar and opposition to attack in covering up their guilt.

The argument to defend his innocence was not strong but only on the basis of bosses taking credit for profit and blaming for subordinate for losses..

We do not need to be paid or appreciate insinuition that we took money for defending Halim Saad for changing our view on a gulty person.

It is clearly a case of NMY dealt for government and now smeared government name by not honouring it.

New information revealed that he benefited himself from the ringgit crash. Our source alleged it was through a SIngapore based nominee

It also occured to us that to lose RM16 billion it must have be based on a humongously humongous position taking or keeping trading volume high despite the loss.

Thus, there is the similarity with the 8888 account at barings.

That is wrong under the law.

Should we be discredited for viewing someone from innocent to guilty?

Keeping quiet on sommeone's guilt is more dangerous. At least we are honest to change our view because of new revelations.

How does changing view means taking money? Maybe you can explain with surety that it happen.A Voicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01780035743502972342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-33735288945903175302013-07-11T11:16:31.906+08:002013-07-11T11:16:31.906+08:00Its interesting to see how fast blogs can change s...Its interesting to see how fast blogs can change stories. Less than a year ago this blog had written a piece on this guy and the forex scandal, yet reading that makes u think that NMY was a clean man doing it all for his country.

http://anotherbrickinwall.blogspot.com/2012/10/is-kit-siang-senile-too-tony-pua-part-2.html

"In 1994, Nor Mohamed and his then boss, BNM Governor the late Tan Sri Jaafar Hussein were gentlemen enough to accept responsibility for making that mother of all losses in the spot currency market.
It takes guts, it takes instinct and it takes cool composure. But to reach the level of Nor Mohamed then, it was more than that. He was in a different league.
Did Nor Mohamed benefited himself by trading currency…He is clean or else market would have talked…Nor Mohamed never did all that then. He may have slept in the BNM trading room but he was doing it all for BNM."

So in regards to the FOREX scandal, why the sudden change?is it selective memory or are there other incentives at play here with this all out attack just after Halim Saad's suit? well bloggers need to eat too right?paulnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-64625042076520959462013-07-11T00:21:16.012+08:002013-07-11T00:21:16.012+08:00Umar,
The intervention of the Central Bank is not...Umar,

The intervention of the Central Bank is not for "speculative" purposes but as a counter measure to DOMESTIC currency exchange rate, and that only if the exchange rate is perceived to be too high or too low (for a simple explanation). Central Bankers DO NOT intervene on a cross that is unrelated to their own position.

The question remains why on earth was NMY intervening on behalf of the British Pound against USD and Deutchmark.

Obviously, it was a gamble with tax payers money. No risk management, no position management, just pure gambling.

The fundamentals at that time was deeply against the Pound. Britain was in a recession and the market was betting that the British would be forced to exit from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM). All they needed was a sucker to take the Opposite position, and lo and behold, the Malaysians through NMY obliged to be the proverbial sucker (which it does on many occasions.)

As to being jealous of NMY, hmm, it would probably make more sense to be jealous of Vincent Tan or Lim Koak Thay. At least they became rich without having to cost the country billions.

Shadow Bankerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05808674289534888830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19741162.post-27073870998344260842013-07-10T20:57:16.913+08:002013-07-10T20:57:16.913+08:00Dear blogger

If you have any iota of evidence, pls forward to MACC .
What you are writing is " fitnah "

He made losses in Bank Negara and it was not criminal to trade Foreign Exchange. Total investment was almost RM100M. The shares price of this company when Khazanah went in was 20 pence (RM1.00). Today the company shares was traded at 1.3 pence (Less than 5 sen Malaysia). How many jobs did the investment creates for Malaysians? Less than the fingers you have on your hands. Now RM 100M down the British drain.
