Passing by Kuala Kangsar

Was on the road yesterday.

Decided to do Friday prayers at the Masjid Ubudiah at Kuala Kangsar, the royal capital of Perak. After going through heavy traffic, managed to be there in time. Use the brief opportunity to see the preparation for the crowning ceremony of His Highness Tuanku Nazrin Ibni Sultan Azlan Shah.

Kuala Kangsar is a quint quiet town but the royal status could certainly be turned into a tourist destination. In fact, the whole of Perak could be turned into an educational local tourist destination by using it's history as the theme.

Enjoy the brief passby:

Nice town. Suitable for retirement.

While we're on the topic of tourism, Tourism Perak are making the right moves in promoting their state to travelers.

Recently, they launched the Taiping Heritage Trail, which I felt was long overdue after Ipoh.

A fellow travel blogger had written about it here: http://lilyrianitravelholic.blogspot.com/2015/05/taiping-heritage-trail-launch-2015.html
