Tun Dr Mahathir should have gone let it be by speaking words of wisdom, but he had to be there in the hour of darkness for Dato Seri Azmin Ali and police chief, Dato Hamid Bador.
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see. It could have been the answer to have Mahathir standing right in front of me, but he should have let it be.
Mahathir's blog posting today was intended to relieve pressure off Hamid for his original but unidentified position. More so, his subsequent comments on time wasting and distrustful civil servants are seen as self defeating.
But, Mahathir's intention to defend Azmin is too glaring that it is suicidal.
VIDEO LUCAH
23 Jul 2019 | chedet.cc
Oleh Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad
1. Saya sering ditanya berkenaan video lucah.
8. Ini bukan soal moral. Ini adalah masalah politik. Ia akan ditangani sebagai isu politik.
The immediate response from a former staunch supporter was, "Bollocks!"
This is a moral problem which involved politicians, specifically one with a high position in government.
He claimed that as "Doctor in the House", the manner doctors solve problems is by finding the root to the problem.
The ‘root of the problem’ is obviously politicians who have deplorable morality and engage in disgusting moral activities.
The former loyalist ended his response to say Mahathir is being his immigrant keling deceiving self, and unlike Indians naturalised as Malaysians.
Another former loyalist reminded Mahathir that he sacked his Deputy for the same moral issue.
Former supporter turned Anwar supporter, political blogger Shahbudin Husin wrote in his blog that it was spread for politics, but the issue remain moral.
Dato Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi accused Mahathir for compromising the truth and morality, displayed hypocrasy, and willingness to abuse power for sake of politics.
Rasulullah SAW bersabda, “Sesungguhnya aku diutus untuk menyempurnakan kemuliaan akhlak” (Abu Hurairah R.A).
Mahathir denied he is defending Azmin, but in his 5th point, he has no intention to take action.
He indirectly acknowledged in the 6th point that 377B was commited. And he knows who is behind it but is selective in persecuting people with moral issues.
The undeniable fact, and it is not easy for many to realise (unless deep, honest and unbias thought given) is that Mahathir is unqualified to be refered to as a great statesman or nation builder.
Too pragmatic, too many failure and too inconsistent. He is just a conniving, deceitful, dishonest, manipulative, and corrupt great politician.
Everything is about politics and power play. That is his end and only game that matter.
His comment is dangerous and even a moral suicide. But it may have been politically butuh! (necessary in Indonesian dilect) to take such risk.
Let it be.
Tun has accepted that homosexuality and bisexuality are alright and normal. Although the majority of Malaysians think otherwise.
