One commentator here claimed Dato Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak will allow Tan Sri Robert Phang to continue to serve in MACC.

No news is heard yet.

However, it is hilarious to hear Phang's praise Najib all the way to the sky in defense against Mallot latest critic of racism.

Me wonder what is he up to?

Is Mr Fix-It claiming to Najib that he is "the" Chinese taiko that can deliver Chinese votes for BN?

Please ... late Tan Sri Wee Boon Ping or replacement Tan Sri William Cheng could, but not this ex-car salesman bag runner for Harris Salleh.

Former United States ambassador to Malaysia John Malott should forge goodwill between the two nations instead of meddling in Malaysia's domestic affairs.

Businessman and former Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel (CCPP) member Tan Sri Robert Phang Miow Sin said Malott's legacy would have been more significant if he had left behind a high level of goodwill on which his successor could build.

"He has failed to do this. Further, he has made it uncomfortable for the current ambassador.

"An ambassador and the host nation must have mutual respect for each country's image on the world stage without stepping on each other," he told the New Straits Times yesterday.

Phang came to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's defence over an article titled "Price of Malaysia's racism" written by Malott in the Wall Street Journal on Feb 8.

Malott, who served here from 1995 to 1998, criticised the prime minister's 1Malaysia concept as being hypocritical, claiming "racial and religious tensions are higher today than when Najib took office in 2009".

Phang said: "Najib is a dynamic person and I am sure he will be able to address all the allegations hurled against him.

"He has the people's support to steer the country and their priorities in the right direction."

Malott's slanted axe strikes again

FORMER United States ambassador to Malaysia John Malott has penned a sweeping but disingenuous indictment of Malaysia in the Wall Street Journal Asia’s opinion page, alleging that “racial and religious tensions are higher today than when Mr Najib took office in 2009.”

Referring to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s handling of prickly race relations issues in that period, Malott mischievously characterised the tensions as “worse than at any time since 1969, when at least 200 people died in racial clashes between the majority Malay and minority Chinese communities.”

Malott went on to accuse Malaysia’s leadership of “tolerating, and, in some cases, provoking ethnic factionalism through words and actions.”

His 1,100-worded missive had two obvious but odious slants:

* The so-called racial tensions he misdirected are perpetrated exclusively by the Malay leadership against what he deemed as helpless and hapless non-Malays; and,

* a deep-seated revulsion for the Najib administration matched only by his consistently unabashed public relations pitch for Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, which makes his vitriol a simple sales promotion for Anwar.

Let’s see: by cleverly deploying the noun,‘tensions’, against the May 13, 1969 trajectory, he is implying that racial clashes are a regular feature on Malaysian race relations since 1969.

The real question is, where are the worsening tensions that could trigger fatal racial clashes as terrible as those incited on May 13, 1969, as Malott slyly claimed?

Malott asserted that the Malaysian leadership “is tolerating and provoking ethnic factionalism through words and actions”. He can’t be more flat on that.

What Malott perceived to be a malevolent circumstance can be seen in a more enlightened prism - it is Najib’s willingness to engage all aggrieved parties - Malays, Chinese and Indians alike - by encouraging them to say their piece, even if it is unpleasant.

That’s several notches up for free speech when previous administrations had curtailed debate on race relations, restricting them only in Parliament and special closed-door councils.

Now, the debate is so open that websites, blogs and social media networks are abuzz with the freedom to discuss what had been a taboo topic. The downside? You’d think Malaysia is reeling in a perfect storm of racism, given the rancidness of many comments from all sides.

From Hindraf’s exaggerated claims of genocide to the Chinese community leverage of precious votes (some would call it blackmail) to get more Chinese schools to the Malays’ defensive posture against shrill demands that their special position is irrelevant and obscured by historical skewering, the multi-prong debate is boisterous and healthy.

These are strong, passionate stances made possible by an administration that accepts such sentiments as a fact of life and does not fear it from surfacing aloud, only if it allows Najib to formulate pragmatic solutions which may or may not appease the aggrieved parties.

Malott doesn’t get this but to be fair, he makes no mention of the word “racism” in his opinion piece but he, whether he likes it or not, is party to the loaded WSJ heading “The price of Malaysia’s racism’, which implies that Malaysia is drowning in a toxic cesspool of racism. That’s not what Malaysians are experiencing now though the WSJ appear to have no misgivings in branding that label on Malaysia.

Here’s an alternative perspective to Malott’s blinkered observation: Malaysians are no more capable of institutional racism (read apartheid and the US’ pre-civil rights segregation) than Malott can be in his personal dealings with other races.

Malott might like to consider Malaysia’s plus point as a burgeoning plural society that goes way back to 1957 when the first multi-racial Government was formed. In comparison, developed Western countries can’t even place a non-white high up in their respective administrations.

The tensions Malott mischaracterised is what Malaysians get tangled up constantly - seemingly irreconcilable social, cultural, economical and political disputes on how best to prod the country towards a promising future of prosperity and creation of new wealth.

A lot of harsh words and comments have and will be exchanged but a prime outcome is the nature of its civility - and none of that bloodletting innuendo. Everyone, naturally, wants a bountiful share but no one is willing to budge, compromise or lose pertinent benefits gained over decades of political struggle.

So, the logical step to do is to continue negotiating, bargaining and bartering, even if the outcome is a full blown civil but civilised war of words.

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad had a barometer on gauging disenchantment among the races: he would ask representatives of each race if they are satisfied with their lot and the immediate response was a “no”.

Since nobody is satisfied, then the cogent conclusion was that the Government had been fair in their treatment of all races. Conversely, had one race stated that they were satisfied, then something was wrong somewhere.

It’s obvious that Malott based his thinking on the advisement of the Opposition crowd which puts the blame squarely on the Malay leadership and certain Malay NGOs when the reality is that every ethnic community is shouting and screaming, jockeying and jostling for the best possible position to capitalise on the goodies promised under the New Economic Transformation programme.

It comes to this: Malott has a very big axe to grind in manipulating Malaysia’s political machinations but his objective, since the time he was last as ambassador in 1998, had always been to blacken Dr Mahathir to shore up Anwar’s political doldrums.

Interestingly, Malott would conduct his sorties on Malaysia when trouble fixates on Anwar, from his troublesome sodomy trial to his tribulations in dealing with the growing army of PKR rebels and dissidents.

This latest sortie fits into Anwar’s scheme of things and being a close associate, Malott would have no qualms disparaging Najib as long it can help distract Malaysians from a very beleaguered Anwar.

What "the untold MAS story" did not tell? (Part 1)

The untold side of the strange CID letter to the Prime Minister

On American Independence Day 2009, that is July 4th 2009, Malaysia Today started an 8-series feature that ran till July 21st 2009 entitled The untold MAS story. MT dedicated 17 days to begin spinning their yarn.

No one took notice despite the fact that they had a public figure as in YB Salahuddin Ayub to make a public statement on August 10, 2010, reported in Harakah and raised the issue in Parliament. The mistake is: who is to believe MAS loss RM8 billion?

Despite expose after expose and recycled article after recycled article, it was hardly the talk of the town. MT does not have the following it used to have, when they backed Tun Dr Mahathir against now Tun Abdullah.

MT benefited from Tun M and it just proves that without Tun M, MT news value plummet. Worsen by RPK's boo boo in many of his spins on Saiful, Altantunya, etc. Not to forget, pro UMNO bloggers are strong these days.

Finally, they used this former MCA and now backing DAP, gangster-styled lembu, Tan Sri Robert Phang to bulldoze the issue of perception on MACC, AG and Police into the public throat in November last year.

Facts, not perception

Did anyone bother to think?

Phang contribute NO relevant new information or fact but was merely talking of perception. If it is perception, Phang should have dismiss it because it is not factual.

How does he expect institutions to address perception based on lies? How do you stop liars from creating lies?

Or is everyone too engrossed with perception politicking play?

Phang must think the public is stupid to not realise ALL the issues he raised are issues championed by Raja Petra in Malaysia Today and Din Merican in his blog. It is raised in a manner as an indirect attack on national institutions but personality attack with MAS as it's base storyline.

ABITW intend to comb through the documents MT disclosed but not bother with their storyline. Too many untruth and spins.

This blog take note that Phang had replied yesterday to clarfy that he has submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister.

Hands of Rosli Dahalan

Raja Petra has many information but on corporate issues, he has limited understanding to know whether things make sense or not. The articles could be written by others or giving due respect to him, written with information supplied by someone. Undeniably, it had to came from Rosli Dahalan and Dato Ramli Yusoff.

It is not a coincidental that Rosli is the lawyer handling the cases against Tan Sri Tajuddin for MAS. He is a close friend of the former Legal Counsel for MAS, Nadimah Nik Adeeb and closer friend to present MAS Senior Vice President (Corporate Services), Dr Wafi Nazrin Tan Sri Hamid.

Source within MAS claimed he began to be more active in 2004 and Wafi passed the files to bring on the case to ICC to Rosli from the firm of Norton Rose.

Some say there is collusion between the two but there is no proof. The test will be his reaction when more information on Rosli and MAS lawyers reveal itself.

Din Merican is also a close friend of Rosli and it is clearly expressed in his blog postings. He claim to defend Rosli out of friendship. The rest of the about Rosli's ability, integrity and etc is all bull to fill in the blog speaces.

There is a rumour on the blogs that they share something together but rest assured that is a non-issue in this blog.

Rosli's good friend from his UIA days is Dato Ramli Yusoff. He is the snitch for RPK's Sabah Deep Throat writer on Sabah expose. That should explain why there were many police reports published on MT.

Source claim Ramli touch base with Phang in Sabah when he was active as Mr Fix-It.

All road will lead to Rosli as the person who probably wrote or giving some credit to the blog writers, supplied the information. In fact, there is the suspicion that Rosli could be the writer of Ramli Yusoff story to Pak Lah dated March 26 2007.

That letter was rather strange in the sense that it was a letter from a Government official to the Prime Minister but written in English. The official language for such letter must be in Malay. See the first page of the letter published in MT (joined back together):


It could mean that Ramli had no sense of protocol which is highly unlikely for a high level official, despite the letter was not cc to his superior the Inspector general of Police.

So it could explains the hunch that this letter was written by someone outside police. It is likely to be written by Rosli.

It is downright unprofessional to release police investigation to others, even if MAS was the complainant. Is Ramli sure that these names are not crooks themselves?

Why cc only to Director Dato Anuar Zaini, who everyone knows is in Tun Dol's inner circle and Khairy defender?

The untold

Several important points to note and remember:

1. In 1.1, Ramli mentioned of the MAS RM8 billion loss but no details were made. He did not mentioned that investigation by the then ACA on the alleged RM8 billion and ACL was over in 2003 and Tajuddin was exonerated. He hide those fact in this letter but still mentioned about the losses and ACL issue.

For sceptics, let's just say they couldn't find something to stick on Tajuddin. And, the Tajuddin and Mahathir's haters assume Mahathir intervened to save him.

Furthermore, this is exactly what the other side wanted to do and that is to reopen Tajuddin's file. They introduce no new information and evidence but drum up to reinvestigate and insist something be found. Other wise, they will scream, "Coverup!"

That is an entrapment.

Since public perception on Tajuddin as crony is not easy to clean up, it puts MACC, Police and AG in a bind. Damn if they do and damn if they don't. Both ways, they discredit and create negative perception on the institutions integrity by merely playing character attack.

2. Emphasis on the letter was to investigate on the decision to move the cargo hub to Hahn. They have their version and slumber head, who knows nuts of anything but is now adviser of MAS, will have to accept an officials report in good faith.

Is this new evidence or repeating a discarded investigation finding? We will proof later that it is discarded finding.

3. MAS had gone for arbitration with ACL at the ICC when the letter was written. ACL had written a request for arbitration on October 25th 2004.

Ramly had also hide this fact from the Prime Minister. He only mentioned about Tajuddin countersue Government to kasi PM angin but did not disclose there is an arbitration going on. The arbitration result on April 4th 2007 was already in ACL's favour and MAS had to pay up!

Not only that, many subsequent documents by RPK aka Rosli Dahalan on MT will not disclose ICC judgement. Details of the ICC award is kept secret by MAS and Rosli.

No worry, it can be searched. Maybe from inside Rosli's own office ... hahaha.

That's quite a lot to digest to begin with, especially with so much lies flooded in the blogosphere by RPK and Din on the internet.

Another side to Gani's pilgrimmage story

Our source say that it was Rosli Dahalan's sister Farah that leaked about Tan Sri Gani Patail's pilgrimmage with Shahidan.

An anonymous commentator gave a different angle, if you don't mind his casual English:

Tan sri Ghani and family join Zamrud package under Tabung haji. The cost of the package is $65,ooo per person. I think he paid the package from his saving.

No body notice about Shahidan present in the same package until when it was publish in RPK Malaysia Today. Suddenly he started to received a lot of sms condeming him for going haj with Shahidan.

Tabong haji Travel openly apologise to Tan Sri ghani and the CEO of tabong haji admit openly that they are still investigating who take photograpt of Tan Sri Ghani detail including his Hand phone and sent it to RPK.

I dont think this is the work of farah who is link to Rosli Dahlan. Read the posting on RPK.

I think I've read enough of RPK's version on many things.

The commentator felt it had nothing to do with Farah or Rosli Dahalan. It was coincident that Shahidan was doing Haj together with Gani in the same travel package. Our side do not see any conflict of interest by law for Shahidan to socialise with Gani.

Din claim Shahidan is a proxy and he claimed Shahidan was previously charged for taking bribes when he was the OC Secrets Societies in Johore. That is a favourite line of RPK and Din but who are they friendly with if not Ronnie Liu?

If that is the case, RPK, Din Merican and Robert Phang were making up stories to dramatise their false claim of selective prosecution. This fit the common Malaysian perception, but teh question is was there such a case?

Where in the world did Din get the story of MACC request to withdraw case against Rosli rejected by AG? One wonder how a "Prof" in economics and civil service in foreign service know so much to write about organised crime activities and anti-corruption law.

Someone must have told him and that someone must know it well for Din to write. Maybe it wasn't Din who wrote all that?

More suspicion to be exposed.

The commentator continued on about Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli's issue with MAS:

My guess it was the PM Tun Mahathir who stop Tan Ghani from taking action against Tajuddin considering his sacrify to save Bank Negara from Bankrupt by buying MAS Shares. I agree with you that the Culprit was Tan Sri Noor Yaakop.

I cannot imagine why SC refuse to allow Tajuddin to redeem his TRI (celcom)shares from Danaharta after he sold back his MAS Shares to Govertment.Tan Sri Noor Yaakop instruct Danaharta to sell TRI shares to Telcom Malaysia. Tajuddin not only lost his celcom business to telecom but also lost almost $1 billion ringgit park in Naluri Bhd.

On the Instruction from Noor Yaakom, Danaharta sold Naluri Bhd shares to Atlan owned by George Lim,the man who screw up Bank Bumuputra and Habib bank in the 80under his company Scott Leasing. Ask Dato Raja Aman who was the ceo habib bank then.

I agree with you totally that Tajuddin did not cause MAS lost $8 billion ringgit. In fact MAS never lost that much.It was Noor Yaakop idea by using BinaFikir boy,Rasdan to structure MAS.

That is the main reason why tajuddin sue Danaharta, Azman yahya, CIMB and the govertment for $13 Billion.

Time to move on from Robert Phang and Gani's pilgrimmage for the real meat.

Connecting the dots of conspiracy

The recent publicity attracted by this blog could be seen as premature because this blog had only began to introduce and establish the characters and issues in the unjustified attack against the Attorney General office, Malaysian Royal Police, and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

In our December 15th posting, we were curious to understand the alleged loss at Malaysia Airlines Berhad by former Chairman Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli of RM8 billion.

The number does not make sense.

It had been bandied around by many but without any explanation and justification. The Wide Asset Unbundling excercise had involved RM5 billion but that is a balance sheet reconstruction excercise. How could losses reach that size? Read here.

Since MAS had always been a favourite story in this blog, we decided to investigate. We investigated beyond MAS alleged losses under Tajuddin.

We knew of the elaborate chess game involving MAS as a pawn by the vengeful and corrupt Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop.

He wanted to victimise Tajuddin to get even for the treatment he received from Tajuddin for putting the Bank Negara Malaysia in financial trouble.

Since MACC's Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel member Tan Sri Robert Phang on November 30th 2009 (read here) made an issue on MAS reinvestigation, we investigate the other cases and issues he raised.

Few initial findings and hunches can be made.

Firstly, the alleged loss and case by Malaysian Airlines Berhad against Tajuddin Ramli was merely the storyline to do a personal attack on the Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail, former Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan, and Dato Abu Kassim and MACC.

Secondly, except for MACC Commissioner Abu Kassim and including Nor Yakcop, every name mentioned and that crops up has link to Anwar Ibrahim. It raises the possibilities that it is part of Anwar's grand scheme to avenge his 1998 sodomy case, improve his perception for the current case, and Anwar's constant political assault on the Government of the day by ridiculing the institutions.

Thirdly, there is evidence and indicator to show that someone was doing a hanky panky on MAS. And we happen to investigate a major hanky panky in MAS by current Ministers.

The revelation of the tip-off that Robert Phang's attempt to bribe a Secretary General was necessary to get public attention to their evil manouvring.

It is similar to the method that Raja Petra and Din Merican employed to get the public to buy into their allegations against the various institutions using falsified allegations against Tajuddin Ramli and their defense of former Police CCID Dato Ramli Yusoff and lawyer Rosli Dahalan.

In both cases, old man Phang was used.

There is a saying that those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. That is exactly what Robert Phang should not have done. A man with a past should keep his past secret. Read here.

The Malay Mail dated January 24th, 2010 deported Robert Phang saying he "has no qualms about relinquishing his post, provided he gets an official letter stating an investigation has been launched into bribery allegations against him."

MACC investigative director Datuk Mustafar Ali confirmed there is a probe. He was quoted saying, "Official statements from both Tan Sri Robert Phang and the secretary-general said to be involved will be recorded this week. That's all I can say."

With that, this blogger does not need to surface to help investigation as challenged by Robert Phang. MACC seems to have known of it.

My source can be rest assured. Just like journalist will not reveal their source, so will this blogger. This Melayu will "biar pecah perut, dari keluar dari mulut."

On January 26th, 2010, Robert Phang announced his resignation. This is despite MACC position few days before that he does not need to resign.

The Sun dated January 30th, 2011 reported that Robert Phang had not officially resign. He has yet to write officially to the Prime Minister. As of today, there is no development yet. Is he playing games?

Advisory board member Tan Sri Simon Sipaun, who share with Phang concern over Gani Patail's explanation on his Haj trip, was reported to have said, “Phang is a more vocal person than the rest in the panel and probably this could have triggered the allegations. I don’t know, I could be wrong on this.”

He is wrong.

There is nothing wrong with being vocal, especially involving bribes and corruptions. It is wrong making noise over something than cannot be substantiated and justified. Robert Phang acknowledged that he is concern with perception.

Robert Phang's noises is condemning someone, helping to repeat allegations and create public perception out of untrue happenings, and playing games without the due process of law being allowed to take place.

Remember that he is a Tan Sri with influences and network of freinds. He can;t simply shoot his mouth as he please.


In our January 19th 2011 posting, we asked how Robert Phang could secure the information of Gani going to Haj with Shahidan. This is important because Robert Phang made a big brouhaha over a petty and personal event of Gani's Haj trip with Shahidan.

To make the excuse that anyone could just go to that travel agent and sign up to go for the Haj, it will not be convincing to many.

It also means someone must be together in that trip that knows Gani and Shahidan. That person is Farah Adiba and her husband. Farah is sister to lawyer Rosli Dahalan. Will that explain the picture above of Rosli and Robert Phang together?

Rosli must have been told by his sister or her husband of the presence of Shahidan and Gani together. He definately extended the information to Robert Phang and to make a mountain out the mole hill.

The question that has been bewildering this blogger is why must Rosli make an issue out of Shahidan's friendship with Tajuddin?

As we wrote earlier, Shahidan is not a related party to Tajuddin in any way one look at it. The law is clear there. He has never acted as lawyer to represent Tajuddin. The family relationship is too much a case of bau-bau bacang.

Shahidan has no problem to maintain a personal friendship with Gani. He developed it from working relation with Gani in his days in the police force. He is in the mid-50s as compared to his cousin Rizani who is in her 40s. Rizani is married to Tajuddin's brother, Dato Bistamam.

Shahidan, Dato Ramli Yusof and Rosli Dahalan were contemporary when all of them were doing law at the Islamic International University. What made them fall out with one another?

In Raja Petra story, Shahidan was allegedly the link to show that there is a collusion between Tajuddin Ramli and Gani Patail to clear Tajuddin of any wrongdoing which Ramli Yusoff feels otherwise. It looks to be a necessary added spin to reinforce their allegation.

Perhaps .. but it reinforce something on Rosli Dahalan. That's for later postings.

Before signing off, there is another character that need to be established and connected since Robert Phang raised also about him.

He is Dato Mat Zin Ibrahim, the former Kuala Lumpur CCI and his superior and friend was Ramli Yusof.

Dato Mat Zin raised about the mata lebam incident to implicate Musa Hassan and conjuring up new allegations about DNA testing. It only confirms the hunch that he is linked to Anwar Ibrahim.

The link through Mat Zin connects the dot to an Anwar mole inside UMNO and his "partner in crime" who is now a lawyer and is close to a usefull judge. This revelation will only surface when we reach the part on Mat Zain allegations.

In one TV programme last night, all three panels claimed they expected the majority of 3,707 for BN at the Tenang bah-election.

If the audience only knew of the pessimistic projections made by the various groups in BN the night before polling, the panic and frustration within BN towards the campaign and the rising water, and frantic reaction to an SMS blast claiming to be from UMNO Information Chief, Dato Ahmad Maslan to get more Malay voters to come out to vote in the heavy rain, the audience wouldn't have known that the three panelists were bullshiting.

This blogger differ from the post-election optimism by armchair political analysts and politicians. The "cikgu mala" petaka is not limited to the flood spreading into 4 states but exposed the weakness of Johor as the bastion of UMNO.

Johor Menteri Besar and UMNO Liaison Chief for Johor, Dato Gani Othman should review his "nothing to worry attitude" and start working hard. No more nice guy and boastful pride of Johor the great. The new politics have no room for nice guy.

No more fear of Dato Dr Chua Soi Lek's sensitive outburst. Tell it straight in his face that he better talk less and buck up. He is living in fantasy land and President of no man's land. Deliver first or shut up!

The macro factors the paneliets had expressed are nothing new and merely template political science views.

The happening behind the political campaign, where the real work is done and art of politics is splasing its paint, is the real happening. Did anyone wonder why Felda Chemplak turn back for BN? Why such varied views on Chinese voters? Why racial charged PKR campaign had no impact on Indian voters?

The analysis of by-elections using macro socio-economic and political factors is an exercise of overanalysis that usually lead to paralysis, especially when there are 17 factors enlisted. It means there are too many factors to address.

Any credible analysis must be able to identify and zero in on the critical factors and not try to relate to Sarawak upcoming statewide election to the Tenang by-election.

In a place like Tenang, a small pekan within pekan of Labis and part of the Segamat district, development promises is unrealistic. One young man complaining that Government did not bring development was asked by this blogger, "What do you want?"

After several criticism on the viability of his proposals, the young man realised that urbanising Labis is not development. It is not viable to build a KLCC like structure in Labis. Deliverable of government policies and the caring part of 1Malaysia is more important here.

Other than the pre-election work, the real winner for BN in this by-election campaign was the NGOs and volunteers, and transport team.

There have been an increasing level of non-partisan volunteers in political campaign. UMNO politicians seems to be out of touch with current event, unable to communicate the political message to the voters, and fear debating issues.

This is where bloggers found a significant role to play in any campaign and it has stretch beyond cyber psywar. They were replacing UMNO in generating issues for campaign attack.

Transport team of Sri Gading, Sembrong and Air Itam did a great work to transport Felda voters to the polling station. They delivered and picked up the slack of the whole BN political machinery of Johor.

Frankly, this first by-election in Johor exposed the weakness of the Johor political machinery.

Gani had wanted to be the Election Director and got himself a good lesson in the new politics of the day taught by their own home grown Pas member, Salahuddin Ayub. He should realise now that Johor has the weakest UMNO political machinery and unfamiliar with the new and open political campaign.

Gani had taken charge of the Labis Division whose Division head was the late Tenang Assemblymen, Dato Sulaiman Taha. He rattled on the first few days and the whole machinery was in dissarray.

Matters got worse with Gani's paranoia on the possibility of sabotage that he sidelined the local Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri wings. Peruntukan factor is not considered yet.

MCA worked harder than usual to save face for MCA President Soi Lek but they are best described as "lembab." He maybe the MCA president but he must face up to the fact that he is not accepted by the Labis constituency and MCA supporters.

He must stop being in-denial to the reality that MCA is weak and in need of help. A weaker partner cannot rank pari passu with a more superior partner. He must put aside his ego and be willing to get assistance and take orders from the stronger partner.

BN was able to regain back a slim majority in the Chinese mix areas of Bandar Labis Timor and Labis due to the return of Malay and Indian voters. Chinese predominated area of Bandar Labis Tengah remain a significant opposition DAP stronghold.

A report claimed that Chinese support for BN is only 27 percent which is lower than the 30 something percent of the average national figure in 2008. Chinese support is not back yet.

But this is not a usual by-election but a bah-election. The Chinese turnout was lower than the Malay Felda and kampung turnout. They had waited for the morning heavy rain to stop but it did not and was aggravated further by flood in the afternoon.

The role of the transport team of three Johor Division of Sri Gading, Sembrong and Air Itam was critical to get them to come out and vote early

Most BN forecast except for that of Soi Lek, were forecasting Chinese support at around 20-25%. The 27% support in the unusual rain is good.

Soi Lek claimed Chinese support had improved to 45% But Soi Lek refused to share data and information. He wants to be respected as though he is of equal stature with the "BN Chairman." He wants others to report to him rather than he report and share info with others.

Soi Lek refuse to accept that MCA's house-to-house campaign were not effective and time consuming. MCA avoid big makan-makan function for fear of poor turnout will be seen as a sign of weakness exploited by DAP. This aroused the suspicion that Soi Lek was giving Chinese votes on a silver platter to DAP.

It was the BN supporting NGOs coming forward to help the campaign that woe the Chinese voters. Due to the flood, one will never know the true support of Chinese for BN.

However, this blogger was a prudent optimist from the beginning. If not for the bah, the Chinese could reach 40% and BN majority could be more than 4,000 and even reaching 5,000.

Although a similar happening in Tenang Station, Indian support were solid.

The BN component parties of PPP and MIC are squabling with each other over Indian representation and within their own party. In the end, both neglected the Indian communities in the benefit slashed rubber plantations.

During the campaign, the same set of Indian voters were attending free makan political function hosted by MIC, PPP, IPF and split Makkal Sakti.

Again it is the NGOs and individual volunteers that helped BN campaign in the Tenang Station area.

This proves that the Chinese and Indian are still supportive of BN. It is MCA and MIC that they couldn't stand.

For Soi Lek to go around loudly asking, "UMNO buat apa?", he should ask the same question back to himself.

"Is he relevant to his community?"

Labis Chinese support for MCA is for his son, Chua Tee Yong and not so much for him. Soi Lek is in the predicament position of being President of MCA but not leader of the Chinese community.

What face of his is to save if pro-BN NGO of Labis do function with the condition of no MCA leaders presence?

The UMNO that Soi Lek love to criticise are regaining back their support and coming out more superior now after much beating. Where is MCA heading?

If they continue to keep Soi Lek and his bad history and arrogant uncooperative ways, MCA is heading for it's demise.

This is a serious reminder to our MCA friends.

The Malay has saying, "Siapa makan cili, dia rasa pedas." We do not need to translate that do we?

George Bush used to say in a presidential debate, "If you can't stand the heat, you get out of the kitchen."

This is what exactly happened today.

Tan Sri Robert Phang announced his resignation from the MACC Committee on Prevention. He cited all sort of conspiracy theories and speculation which his spin masters will further elaborate and add colour.

This is to give him face. Do give him his last words.

Phang Quits MACC Panel

KUALA LUMPUR, 27 JANUARY, 2011: Tan Sri Robert Phang announced his resignation today as a member of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s (MACC) Consultation and Corruption Prevention Panel amid the graft allegations that were leveled at him following his urging for an investigation into alleged corrupt practices in Malaysia Airlines (MAS).

Phang, who is also a Justice of the Peace, explained that he wanted to preserve his integrity and that of the anti-graft body.

Yesterday, the MACC announced that it had decided to keep Phang as a member of the panel after he had made a request to be relieved of the post to enable MACC to investigate allegations that he was involved in corrupt practices.

Phang claimed that he was a victim of a character assassination attack aimed at intimidating him after he raised concerns regarding the lack of action in the MAS scandal.

He has consistently demanded that Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail be probed for graft, saying that Abdul Gani’s explanations to the panel had failed to dispel suspicions that he was “consorting” with Shahidan Shafie, an alleged proxy for former MAS executive chairman Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli.

Phang added that the attack on him was an orchestrated attempt to discredit his reputation by “rogues from within and outside the government”.

He said he was not surprised that the attacks are also centered on his past business in Sabah as Abdul Ghani and deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk V K Liew, are also from Sabah.

Liew had urged the MACC to initiate an investigation into Phang after the allegations of bribery emerged on an online blog.

Phang had demanded that Abdul Gani explain allegations that Tajuddin’s recent haj pilgrimage was sponsored by Shahidan, who was also said to have gone for the same haj trip.

Tajuddin was MAS executive chairman from 1994 to 2001. During his tenure, the national airline experienced losses totaling RM8 billion which led to complaints being lodged against him.

What a party pooper?

We were just getting started and it has not reached the bikini stage of the strip poker where the real fun is.

Before anyone start to think of giving him any sympathy, let this blog say stop it. We are ready to even release stark evidence of his activities.

Robert is leaving because he can feel the heat. He knows we have pressed the right button to trigger off more explosion to close in on him. Why would an influential and powerful man like him quit if there is not truth in what was divulge?

Believe me folks, there is no conspiracy. This is solid investigation and information sharing from network of bloggers and friends.

If there is any conspiracy, it is coming from the other side. It is a PKR and Anwarista thing. It is in their blood and brain to always imagining and cooking up things.

If only Robert Phang waited longer, we were going to release who tipped off Robert of Tan Sri Gani Patail and Shahidan's pilgrimmage. The person tipped someone who we believe is the mastermind and real conspirator.

He is the person who left clues all over the documents Raja Petra released to lead it back to him. Someone thinks they are smart, but on this, Allah gave me lead to the truth.

In the meanwhile, let's hope our mastermind cospirator did not quit from his job or leave the country from just that clue.

It'll spoil the fun.

However, do hope that the law catches up on this man who calls other as corrupt but he is the real corrupt one.

Unless Mr Fix It like Phang who goes around pretensiously as corrupt fighters is rid off, we will neve rid off this country of the disease of corruption.

Thank Allah that it was effortless to rid him out of MACC and enable them to do their jobs without such snitch.
