Anwar's American mentor, Paul Wolfowitz is gay?

The PKR election took an interesting twist when one candidate for Ketua AMK, Rafizi Ramli claim to have the blessing of Anwar.

Rafizi fit the same tall standing and complexion of other of Anwar's assistants, from Azmin, Ezam, Anuar Shaari, Saiful Bahari, and Bakar the mysterious masseur among others.

The former General Manager of Petrocarigali is unmarried, thus raising speculation of his sexual orientation.

Anwar's foreign supporters calling on the Government to interfere and stop his sodomy trial from the MPs of Australia and Britain are led by gay. Quite a few gay organisations abroad in the west and in Asean countries made similar call.

There was a French writer, Arnaud Dubus helping Anwar churn rumours of Najib's link with the death of Altantunya had a suspiciously gay look. It doesn't help that Anwar was at the same forum with an Indonesian intellectual, Musdah that claim gay is allowed in Islam.

The latest shocking revelation picked by AIDC from a Turkey newspaper claimed Anwar's mentor and protector in the US, Paul Wolfowitz is gay. Read below in the Hurriyet, the same paper that revealed Tun Dol's purchase of a yatch few years back:
Profesor Dr. Yalcin Kucuk, Ph. D., expressed his displeasure to the news that World Bank President, Paul Wolfowitz, who he thinks "might be gay," has donated $5,143 to a gay organization in Turkey.

Turkey's first and only gay organization Kaos GL, qualified for economic assistance from the World Bank for a second time. Last year, the organization had obtained a donation from the World bank, towards putting together a brochure which would highlight the problems and experiences that the gays would have with their families

This year, for a project targeting the youth, the organization will receive $5,143.00. The project, called "All together", aims to address the change the gay oriented discriminatory behaviour of the youth. Of the 100 Turkish organizations that had applied to the World Bank, Kaos GL was one of the five that was selected.

"HE FAVORS THEM"

The fact that the organization received the donation twice caused further rumors. In a television program, Yalcin Kucuk, Ph.D., insisted that the president of World Bank, Wolfowitz could be gay, and that he favored the gay organization.

He also reminded the fact that, while other World Bank Presidents rarely visited Turkey, Wolfowitz was a very frequent visitor.

On the other hand, Umut Guner, the Project Coordinator of the gay organization, responding to the rumors of Wolfowitz being gay, stated that "I personally would be curious of someone's homosexuality, if I am attracted to him, otherwise, who is homosexual and who is not doesn't concern me".

Guner followed by saying "If the World Bank hadn't given the money to us, and had given it to the Laz (translator's note: Laz are people of Greek origin who converted to Islam, and live predominantly around Northern Turkey, formerly Pontus area), would Wolfowitz be accused of being Laz?

Anwar ... Anwar ... watch who you mix with.

What about the Indian looking chap that presented him with flower as birthday gift at the last court hearing?

In a blog, it was written about one hotel worker somewhere.

The 2 Tuns, 5 Tan Sris and 4 Datos on Sime Darby BOD deserve sacking!

Resign or be sack!

Bigdog's latest posting reminded me of a line in Monthy Python's British standup comedy, bookshop where he parodied Charles Dicken's Tale of Two Cities as A sale of two titties.

It turns out that A sale of two titties is a title of a porn movie.

Certainly, the negligent and incompetent manner the so-called "illustrious" Board of Directors of Sime Darby carried out their fudiciary duties in Bigdog's latest posting can be described as obscene, repulsive and pornographic.

This is a result of the long practise and culture of appointing members on the Board of PLCs and GLCs as reward for retired politicians and top civil servants. It is like giving flowers to monkeys.

Big Dog was practically launching an already on-going and as good launched campaign to remove the members of the Board of Directors of Sime Darby he dubbed as "The Tale of the Two Tuns, Five Tan Sris and Four Datos".

Why must the illustrious BOD of Sime Darby be removed? Read extract from Bigdog's below:

The stewards who have fiduciary duties over the conglomerate must be accountable. The board of directors (BOD) comprises of ‘illustrious members of the society and corporate community’, with some representing the shareholders.

Having said that, despite of their professional training and aggregate vast amount of exposure and experiences amassed in various capacities through time, they deemed to fail their duties. The convenient blame is when Chairman Tun Musa Hitam told the press, “Management misled us and hid the truth”.

This is unacceptable.

They are members of the BOD. They have the right to ask questions and demand for answers.

If the answers are not convincing enough, then they should talk to the various level of executives. They have an audit committe at the BOD level. They also have the right to interact with the external auditors.

Musa Hitam: Showing the gesture what needs to be done about the BOD?

All of these deliverables expected of the BOD are not without basis. The issues that lurk Sime Darby on the Bakun and oil and gas have been openly discussed in market, even in publications, including here in BigDogDotCom.

Unfortunately, all of these fell out of the radar scope of the ‘illustrious members of the BOD’.

Are the members of the BOD felt that they are to high up and well placed in the society that they are indispensable?

We are not sure.

However, the BOD comprises of personalities such as former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Musa Hitam, former Chief Secretary to the Government and now PNB Chairman Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid, former Bank Negara Assistant Governor Tan Sri Andrew Sheng, former Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsuddin Osman, former Director General of Education Tan Sri Wan Zahid Nordin, former PwC Executive Chairman and MICPA President Raja Tan Sri Arshad Raja Tun Uda and former SIRIM Director General and nuclear engineer Tan Sri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajudin Ali.

This is accompanied by four other Datos namely former BIMB Supremo Dato’ Dr. Abdul Halim Ismail, prominent lawyer and former SUHAKAM Commissioner Dato’ Paduka Zaitoon Osman, Sime Darby veteran Dato’ Mohamed Sulaiman and a chartered accountant from Britain Dato’ Henry Sackville Barlow.

It is unbelievable these men and lady did not ask Zubir the right questions. Especially when losses that large must be accumulated through time.

There are chartered accountants (Raja Arshad, Mohamed, Barlow), a seasoned banker (Dr Halim) and engineer in the BOD. Four of them were from the pre-Synergy Drive Sime Darby BOD.

The very least, the progress and extension of the projects involved. What is most baffling weren’t they curious the development on these projects, Bakun, MOQ, QP and the marine project in QCC states?

How about the JV ventures with Brunsfield and Sunrise Bhd. and allowed the profits to be shared where else Sime Darby as a seasoned property development group and had all the resources to undertake these projects on its own?

The BOD must be accountable for these and display integrity. They have to go. If not all, the very least most of them.

On the Sime Darby Energy and Utilies losses and scandals, 15 weeks ago here in BigDogDotCom we already demanded some of the BODs be sacked, which include Chairman Musa.

No doubt Sime Darby did show some profits despite the accumulated losses of the four ‘sick’ projects. However, they are supposed to monitor all the developed controls and reporting system which were deemed to be matured and tested through time.

On 7 September 1981, Permodalan Nasional Berhad engineered the ‘dawn raid’ on the London Stock Exchange to ‘bring back’ ownership and control of what is now the Sime Darby Group. British companies which so much from Malaysian resources are now back in the hands of Malaysians, particularly the Malays.

Then Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad personally paid attention to this carefully planned and clandestine ‘corporate reverse take-over’.

So why is it that Sime Darby still maintain a Brit (Chartered Accountant and British national Henry Sackville Barlow) on the board, knowingly it has been almost 30 years since and Malaysians have been proven to do the job without them?

It is the right thing to do (resign) for the two Tuns, five Tan Sris and four Datos (with the exception of the CEO, the director from Indonesia Dr. Ariffin Mohamed Sirergar and the Company Secretary). If this is about ‘ego’, then it should have ended sometime back.

No other organisation in the country of 600,000 registered companies which include Bank Negara and Petronas has a BOD with such ‘illustrious members of society’ to “be the steward and safeguard the interests of the shareholders”.

And yet, they ‘failed’ the almost 9 million shareholders (this include the 8.9 million members of the ASB and ASN scheme, which the single largest shareholder of the Sime Darby Group).

If nothing is done soon, then Sime Darby will be known as “The Tale of the Two Tuns, Five Tan Sris and Four Datos” where arrogance, pomp and pageantry rules over virtues like integrity and accountability.

The tale is about ‘great and illustrious men’ failing the Malaysian corporate scene.

LLBs and CLPs that do not read the law

Met Hassan Skodeng himself two nights ago over iftar. He looks calm and confident. Why would he not?

Art Harun had highlighted an important legal point on Hasan Skodeng's charge which embarassingly made one wonders. Does anyone read the law in the Attorney General and MCMC office?

Jeez .. there are supposed to be lots of LLBs and CLPs at the AG office. The Minister in charge for Multimedia have LLB and CLP with a doctoral law degree. How could they miss such an important point?

However, Barking Magpie wrote here claim the Minister is acting like a Little Napolean carrying around a stick. For the Minister's knowledge, rumours are circulating in blogosphere is that Barking Magpie can whisper to someone higher than him and could put the Minister in trouble.

So, please rid yourself of those old out-dated neurons.

According to Art Harun here, Hasan Skodeng was charged ...
... under section 233 (1) (a) Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Act. If convicted, he can be fined up to RM50,000 or jailed up to a year, or both.

Section 233 (1) (a) of the CMA states that:
(1) A person who —
(a) by means of any network facilities or network service or applications service knowingly —
(i) makes, creates or solicits; and
(ii) initiates the transmission of,
any comment, request, suggestion or other communication which is obscene, indecent, false, menacing or offensive in character with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass another person, commits an offence.
Here is the foolishness of MCMC according to Art:
A good friend of mine - a big wig legal eagle in an international corporation - prompted me to the Content Code of the Communications and Multimedia Content Forum of Malaysia (CMCF).

CMCF mind you, was established by non other than the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission itself. CMCF came out with the Content Code. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission itself. CMCF came out with the Content Code.

The interesting thing about the content code is its Chapter 2 on "Guideline on Content." Item 7.3 of Chapter 2 says:
"7.3 Content which is false, is expressly prohibited except in any of the following circumstances:
(a) satire and parody;
(b) where it is clear to an ordinary user that the content is fiction."
So, satires and parodies are expressly and very clearly excluded from the definition of "false" content.
Should put the faces of the MCMC people in the dictionary, next to word incompetent and inconsistent.

Can the press ask Doctor of Law, Rais Yatim for comment on this?

Hope he say something clever. He is supposed to be Information Minister!

Strong hot coffee for Reezal and Ku Nan

In an interview on UMNO Online here, Pemuda UMNO Information Chief, Reezal Merican dispelled claim that UMNO is weak.

Omigod ... are they blind or still in-denial? That is no way to prep up the party. Reezal should batal his fasting and drink some strong hot coffee. He is hallucinating.

UMNO failed in four areas areas and that comes with the suggestions.

Self introspection

Firstly, take care of Malay interest. All it takes is to defend and practise Article 153.

Also, take care of the poor non-Bumiputera. Balance Bumiputera interest with that of the wealthy non-Bumiputeras. The rich Bumi tak payah nak tongkati. Sila berdikari!

Why leave it to Perkasa to defend Malay rights, then become jealous and typically resort to sabotaging of Perkasa? Pendengki babi punya perangai!

Even the opposition are campaigning UMNO does not take care of Malays anymore with the policies churned out by Government. Reezal must be a monyet from UIA to repeat without understanding.

No tolong sorok-sorok. Be transparent. Do we not have grounds to justify actions?

This leads to the imbecile, Khairy who seems to be pulled by the nose by MCA Youth leader, Wee Ka Siong? He is distancing the Malays from UMNO. For what? His stupid neo-liberal ideas?

Khairy is obviously sabotaging UMNO from inside. Is there no senior leaders dare to tell him to shut the fuck up or sack him from the party? Does the President, Deputy and Vice Presidents have any balls?

Second, rid of the party of corrupts. There is a long list and it should have been done last year. It is rather late to convince the rakyat and change the perception, but it is not too late.

Do a drastic change by say starting a fresh with new, talented, capable and untainted faces. Insya Allah, the rakyat will see.

The primary reason the rakyat is not yet returning support and vote to UMNO despite losing confidence with the ability of Pakatan Rakyat to govern this country.

High on the list of those that need to be buried in the graveyard of terminated politicians are Khairy, Nor Yakcop, Khaled Nordin, and all those tainted from the Abdullah years, including Reezal and Ku Nan themselves.

Khairy will change Parliament seating to Kepala Batas. So, Reezal can start quarelling with Khairy and kill each other. The laughs is on you. Pak Lah don't care for non family. You have been used by slumberjack!

Third, go back to the original struggle of the party. Read, understand and live out the struggle of the party in the bloody objectives in UMNO Constitution again.

Does it has your name? Does it say you are entitled to rewards for being in service and sacrifice for the party? Does it say the party owe any party members a life of comfort and pleasure for sacrifice to the party?

If you have answered No to all those questions, at least you are not dumb enough. Ak ak, no ... don't start any statement with Buts. But there shall be no buts.

If you do not have the interest and willing to sacrifice for the agama, bangsa dan negara foremost over youself, family and friends, then you have no business to be in UMNO.

To be a sucessful businessmen or contractors, be a full-time businessmen and contractors. Not be an UMNO members, hold position in party and then screw it up for your own self interest to accumulate wealth.

Ak ak ... still conjuring up excuses? Still no BUTS, idiot!

Fourth and last, UMNO must get their act in order. Change the party of dimwits.

UMNO needs a strategist and effective manager/administrator as Secretary General and Executive Secretary. Ku Nan is an operator and not a strategist. Dato Raof is an idiot and imbecile who is fleecing the party with over-priced command centre and spendings in by -elections.

There is then the need for an effective communicator and strategic thinking Information Chief. Due respect to the hardworking Dato Ahmad Maslan and his capability for winning the Piala Perdana for Sekolah Menengah Sains Kluang in mid-19802, but he is doing old school information dissemination.

It is not his business to personally give ceramah and tap rubber trees. Stop sending those stupid SMSes about your personal activities, unless it is relevant. I don't fucking care of what you do. I just want to know your gameplan.

Ahmad Maslan is supposed to strategise the political dissemination and propaganda. He should have taken the lead and assisted the role bloggers, Facebeookers, Tweeterers, and online forumers with researched materials.

UMNO needs a major revamp in outlook and stucture. Positions as elected state representatives, Ministers, State Assemblymens, and positions in companies, state or federal agencies should not be reward for positions in party.

It is high time there is a distinction between position in party and public position posts.

On the issue of money, UMNO should start to inculculate a different attitude to spending. Rid of attitude of lavishness and expectation of pomp and pageantry.

It is time for more sense of volunteerism as part of struggle. While those at the bottom sacrifice, there must be some sense of modesty and moderation on those at the top. It incites a sense of being used off.

Then there are those that start to demand money and this was how it started. The leaders showed bad examples!

An important point. UMNO must work closely and regularly with its BN component parties.

Why is it BN Council hardly meet? That is the reason other component parties felt UMNO is dominating by making all decisions at UMNO level without much discussion at BN level!

Perhaps UMNO is taking all the lead and responsibility. The other parties have to buck up.

In-denials

This what Reezal Merican, Pemuda UMNO Information Chief spoke:

Sounds hebat but bodoh. More below:

Ku Nan had a little to comment:
... menyanggah persepsi yang menyatakan UMNO kini sebuah parti lemah dan bukan lagi menjadi pilihan orang Melayu.

UMNO, tegas beliau, masih terus menjadi parti dominan dalam Barisan Nasional (BN) tetapi pada waktu yang sama tetap menjadi suara mutlak memperjuangkan kepentingan orang Melayu.
Speak, but do not show your intellectually incapable by being "in-denial".

By the way Reezal pundek, the whole mess faced by the country and UMNO is because of your slumbering political mentor cum Ketua Bahagian Kepala Batas!

Feeding burung Kanari out of protected birdcage

The closet resemblance to a burung Kanari, a gagak hitam

The exact dates are forgotten but the incident remains vivid in my memory. It was in 1997. The same week the newspaper reported Renong UEM Group defaulted on their loans was the same week my previous business defaulted on our bankers.

Till to-date, this blogger will never forgive Anwar and any of them in cohort including Nor Yakcop for destroying and continue to destroy what was built for many decades.

The currency attack of 1997/98 was unjustified. There was no basis for Malaysia to be punished by the currency hedge fund traders. The economy was fine and any negative indicators were at initial manageable stage. Malaysia was wrecked by Soros and Anwar was in co-hort.

Nor Yakcop had his hand in the action too!

Yesterday, NST reported an interview with Tan Sri Halim Saad, a once arrogant enfant terible among Daim-trained corporate boys to reveal:
If I was not forced out, and were given a free hand to manage the group, I would have been able to take advantage of the subsequent improvement in the economic conditions to list PLUS, realise the full potential of the Nusajaya land bank and grow the overall assets and business of the Renong/UEM Group.
Seeing the mess Nor Yakcop had made with among others are these companies and assets, Halim is right. For a coverage of the mess that Kanari made, read Bigdogdotcom here.

Is the interview about feeding burung Kanari out of his protected birdcage? Does he has the genetalia to rumble with baby-faced Halim? We certainly like to see the world's biggest loser in financial history come out fighting!

It is time he fall. No help from Kalimullah to spin on the Malaysian Insiders will stop.

The Crisis

The widespread loan defaults and bankruptcies from that era was partly a result of a new IMF-instructed policies abruptly imposed by the then Finance Minister cum CIA hatchetman, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He recategorise bad loans by shortening the unserviced period for loans from 6 to 3 months to cause business failures and defaults. All for his political agenda to kill off those he alleged are UMNO and Dr Mahathir's financial backers.

But he killed us, the small struggling entrepreneurs along. All for just his hunger and quest for power!

Incidently, the 50 dalil book surfaced and stupid Anwar made a police report, thus the need for Investigating Officer, the just retired IGP Tan Sri Musa Hasan to investigate. That led to many other revelations. Consequently, there was the revalation of his homosexuality, first sodomy case, sacking and Reformasi.

Say what you may, Dr Mahathir was ready to pave the way for Anwar to fill in the living quarter at the PM official residence. He does not need rooms for six children. All his kids are married off.

Anwar's crony and the current Minister in charge of EPU, Tan Sri Mohamad Nor Yakcop was invited back to Government to lend his expertise in foreign exchange to concoct the Selective Currency Control. Eventually, Nor Yakcop - who the widely circulating legend in Penang claims is an India-born mamak carrying a red IC but suddenly had his birth certificate Bumiputerised - got himself a role in Government.

The Squeeze

He seemed determined to destroy the few budding Malay corporate players for Anwar. It was then that he helped ease passage for Kalimullah and Zarinah's Azizan to take a piece of Anwar crony's late Tan Sri Loy MBf empire.

Coupled with the policy to redefine bad loans, Anwar imposed a requirement that 25% of outstanding loans given out by Banks is to be repaid immediately. Failing which, all loans would be considered as default. That immediately squeezed the cashflow of many companies, particularly small ones like ours.

It was just impossible to cough out cash to pay immediately 25% of our outstanding loan. Suppliers, customers, debtors and creditors got into cashflow problem instataneously from the abrupt decline in the economy arising from the ultra sharp decline of Ringgit.

It is established now that Anwar was in cohort with George Soros, the rouge hedge fund trader, George Soros to attack the Ringgit despite a stable and manageable Malaysian economy.

Senator Ezam Mohd Nor, Lokman Adam, and a few former PKR stalwats had revealed that Azmin and Wan Azizah met George Soros to seek money for PKR. [Search for it in AIDC.]

Yes, Anwar sabotaged the economy in order to be Prime Minister. Even an offer from Anwar to compensate RM1.5 million for my lost wealth will ever change my view that Anwar was a stooge of the American intel to sabotage Malaysia.

After Anwar was kicked and the Reformasi period commenced, eventually Nor Yakcop got himself a role to play to clean up corporate debris.

The Wrecking

On hind sight, many now realised that Nor Yakcop was using Danaharta and Danamodal to sabotage the created of Malay corporate players. He was carrying out Anwar Ibrahim's vengeance against corporate players he deemed as standing in his way to amass his own wealth and war chest.

At the same time Tan Sri Azman Yahya was selling out companies, properties and assets at fire sale price to his and Nor Yakcop's cronies, Nor Yakcop was going after these corporate players.

Before moving on further, these Malay corporate players may have arrived by less than desirous ways and means at the expense of other talented, capable and deserving Bumiputeras, but any moral judgement is not complete without taking into account the "national service" insisted upon them by then Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir.

The Chinese hongs had neither of that nor need to plow back to carryout projects deemed necessary for the nation. Not to be misconstrued as racist, their were just feeding their pork bellies.

The Indiscretions

Coming back, there is an outstanding lawsuit by Tan Sri Tajuddin Ramli against Government with Nor Yakcop and others including Siti Nurhaliza's penyanggak proxy husband, Dato K among the defendents.

What happened was Tajuddin sold his stake in MAS and the proceed was fully paid into Naluri. He then proposed for a capital reduction and some special payment to shareholders. For him, the cash was to be used to pay for other commitments with Banks in Celcom and his other business outfits.

By his sole discetion, Nor Yakcop blocked the exercise and Tajuddin lost both Naluri and Celcom.

He did the same thing to Renong UEM. See what happend to Renong and UEM today.

Nor Yakcop idiotic fascination with know-nothing-about-running-business Con-sultan brought consultant Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, who till today can't turnaround convincingly MAS, Proton, and UEM.

Yesterday NST reported an interview with Tan Sri Halim Saad. He has now come out of the woodwork to feed - father of Ka-na-ri if not "real" owner of Palace contractor, Kejuruteraan Kanari - Nor Yakcop out of his protected birdcage at Putrajaya.

Supreme Council of UMNO should wake up from their slumber to read. UMNO's President, Dato Najib; Deputy President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin; and Treasurer Dato Husni Hanadzlah shoudl notice and act.

Tan Sri Halim Saad Speaks Up: Gross Injustice Done to Me

If I was not forced out, and were given a free hand to manage the group, I would have been able to take advantage of the subsequent improvement in the economic conditions to list PLUS, realise the full potential of the Nusajaya land bank and grow the overall assets and business of the Renong/UEM Group.

Q: Some of the strongest criticisms against you have been on the purchase by UEM of Renong shares after the 1997 Asian financial crisis and the following put and call option attached to the sale.

A: There have been certain false statements made against me relating to my put and call option on the Renong shares purchased earlier by UEM. Some went on to say that the subsequent cancellation of the put option by UEM was a bailout of me. I feel the need to correct the misstatements made and shed light on the actual events that took place at the time.

Following the 1997 Asian financial crisis, UEM undertook the purchase of a 32.6 per cent interest in Renong Bhd (its parent company) in the open market. These shares were not purchased from me or parties related to me.

To appease the minority shareholders, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, then the Minister of Finance and I agreed that I buy the shares for RM3.2 billion from UEM by way of a put option, although I was under no obligation to do so. I also had to pay a deposit of RM100 million.

At the UEM Extraordinary Meeting held on February 14, 1998 to ratify the acquisition of the 32.6 per cent interest in Renong, 85 per cent of UEM shareholders voted in favour.

Q: What steps did you take to fulfil the put option?

A: Going forward, I had the option of honouring the put option amounting to RM3.2 billion or making a general offer (GO) for all of UEM, which would have made UEM wholly owned by me and the put option would have extinguished by itself. The GO would have been undertaken at a price which would have been fair and satisfactory to all shareholders of UEM.

A Singapore-based investment bank was willing to fund the GO or put option. In view of the introduction of capital controls in September 1998, I sought the assurance of Bank Negara that the money required to fund the exercise could be brought in and taken out of the country at a later date.

Later, at a meeting with Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, who was then the Economic Adviser to the government, he said: “In no uncertain terms are you to continue with your proposed GO (to take over UEM or Renong) or proceed with the put option (placed on you by UEM).”

This and subsequent actions by the government forced me to sell off the group to Khazanah Nasional. A takeover by the government or Khazanah would not have succeeded if I had not given my support. I did confirm my support by way of a letter.

Q: You consequently left the Renong and UEM board late in 2001 following the takeover of Renong/UEM by Khazanah Nasional. Do you think that the takeover was necessary?

A: I left the Renong/UEM Board on October 3, 2001. Among the reasons put forward by the authorities for the Khazanah takeover of Renong/UEM Group were to prevent a systemic risk to the banking system in Malaysia and to enable a sustained restructuring of the group. This statement was in my opinion unjustified for the following reasons:
1) Renong/UEM was not in a situation where it required a bailout. There was never any bailout. Some writers and analysts have got it wrong. The bonds issued by PLUS/UEM/Renong in 1999 were A-rated and were adequately secured by the group’s internal assets and PLUS (Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan Berhad) cash-flows. Furthermore, they were only due for redemption in mid-2006 and the rating was never downgraded. As such, there was no question of a systemic risk to the banking system in Malaysia.

2) The Renong/UEM Group was fully restructured by mid-2001, except for Putra (running light rail transit line), which was a standalone debt, and the group’s prized assets were PLUS, the Nusajaya land-bank and Time DotCom.

3) Most of the debts were project financing and infrastructure-based, where it is common to have a debt-to-equity ratio of 80:20.

During my tenure, the Group companies paid all their debts in full (principal and interest), without being granted any haircuts. Taking into account the size of the group and the extent of its borrowings, no other company listed in Bursa Malaysia can boast of a similar track record.

4) Nine months after I left Renong/UEM, PLUS was listed on the then KLSE (Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange), thereby proving that PLUS was ready for listing during my tenure. I had not rushed it because we had up to the year 2006 when the PLUS bonds were due for redemption and we would have gotten better valuation for the shares.

5) As part of Time DotCom’s restructuring, Singtel (the Singapore-based telecommunication service provider) offered RM2.1 billion for a 20 per cent interest in Time DotCom and 108.2 million shares in Time Engineering Bhd.

Singtel valued Time DotCom at around RM8 billion. Moreover, Singtel would have brought value in terms of expertise and skills to grow the business of Time DotCom. At the last minute, I was stopped from proceeding with the Singtel deal and because of time constraints I was forced to accept the less attractive alternative.
Based on the facts I have mentioned, it is clear that I have always had the intention and the ability to honour the call and put option, or alternatively undertake the GO for UEM. Furthermore, despite the Asian financial crisis of 1997, the Renong/UEM group was substantially restructured at the time of my forced departure.

In summary, a gross injustice has been done to me especially when I was denied or stopped from making the payment of RM3.2 billion for the UEM put option/GO and proceeding with Singtel on the RM2.1 billion deal, both of which would have substantially reduced the Group debt of some RM20 billion, most of which were project-related anyway.

Some other companies, like the Lion Group/Amsteel (with RM15 billion in group assets), whose RM10.2 billion debt was mainly neither project-related nor cash flow-based, were not touched and instead given preferential treatment, like exemption from burdensome import duties and granted Approved Permits.

If I was not forced out, and were given a free hand to manage the group, I would have been able to take advantage of the subsequent improvement in the economic conditions to list PLUS, realise the full potential of the Nusajaya land bank and grow the overall assets and business of the Renong/UEM Group.

The time for Kanari to sing

Let's hear what black canary, Kanari have to sing?

Cina senang-senang saja dilepas dan dibantu. Bila Melayu, sentiasa bertegas dan sedia dianiaya?

I sense more is gonna spilled open.

Tajuddin's case could be on the deck. Someone from Nor Yakcop's side must have contacted Salahuddin Ayub and Malaysia Today's Raja Petra to make a big brouhaha on MAS's lawsuit against Tajuddin.

Even how informative they are revealing, both of them know nuts on the technicality and legality of the case. For one thing, MAS's Legal Department have been over the years having a tough time trying to make a case out of it.

Son of former Minister yang dulu banyak lansi, Tan Sri Hamid Osman, Dr Wafi was only interested in feeding his crony to change the already capable lawyers handling the lawsuit with crony's lawfirm but outsourced to others to makan in between the comparatively bloated fees. Do you read MACC?

God help MAS!

The late Tan Sri Azizan took the Petronas reject with a doctorate in shipping law to handle MAS's aviation law issues. He survived by being a compulsive delegators!

The cheapskate is a Jakun and known to abuse staff discounted tickets to regularly bring his whole family for holidays during his business trips.

For these issues, my selective support for Tajuddin and Halim against Nor Yakcop and MAS!!!

TNB sue a Melayu, but did nothing to Namewee!

Reading the blog Garamanis here, made me ask back what was written by Kickdefella here.

Watch the video first.

Is it because Namewee is Chinese that TNB, AG and MCMC are afraid to do anything to him?

Fuck the votes! Be fair.

Sigh ... maybe DAP should start to champion Malays because we are now second class citizen in our own mother fucking land!!!
