It is high time

The indictment against Tun Ling Liong Sik for scandal relating to Port Klang Free Trade Zone (PKFZ) surprised many, including the office bearers within MCA.

A reliable source said the case was brought to the attention of the Prime Minister, Dato Seri Najib Tun Abdul Razak by the Attorney General, Tan Sri Gani Patail.

Consistent with Najib's earlier position on the case of Anwar's sodomy trial II, he clearly said he will not interfere with the process of law.

Well done and wise move, Dato Seri!

The PKFZ financial scandal is too big to be hidden from the process of justice. It is futile to try and hide a case of such size.

However, the case should not be limited to merely Tun Ling and his action to witheld certain documents from the Finance Minister and Cabinet.

There are other Minister like Dato Chan Kong Choy that has to face the music. There should not be any attempt to witheld from the public known and unknown personalities related to Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd.

Not only is the indictment, the brave words of the MACC boss, Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed is applauded too.

The report on the MACC boss is below:

MACC chief vows to probe every complaint

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed said Saturday he would step down if any complaint made to the MACC, including against Cabinet ministers, went uninvestigated.

"If no investigation is carried out on any report, even against Cabinet ministers, I am willing to go down," he said during a question-and-answer session on the final day Saturday of the three-day Malaysian Law Conference, here.

Abu Kassim said he was prepared to receive complaints from the public directly or through the MACC Complaints Committee headed by a former judge.

Up to 119 complaints were lodged with the committee last year alone, he said.

"We are not going to hide anything. If we are wrong, we are wrong, or if we are not good enough for the job, we will work hard to improve ourselves," said Abu Kassim, who was appointed as the MACC chief commissioner in January this year.

He said that since the setting up of the MACC in January last year, about 10,000 people had been arrested, among them ministers, members of parliament and senior civil servants, irrespective of their political leaning.

The MACC also was involved in addressing money-politics cases in Umno, where 12 members were prosecuted, he said.

"MACC's action had sparked a demonstration initiated by Umno Youth which alleged that we don't have any business investigating the party's money-politics," said Abu Kassim, addressing some 300 lawyers at the conference.

He said one of the major challenges faced by the MACC currently was in changing the public perception of the commission that it only went after "the small fish rather than the big ones".

"Generally, we are just an investigation agency and do not have the power of prosecuting the suspects involved in corrupt practices," stressed Abu Kassim. He said the public expectation of the commission had been growing day by day, and he had been working hard to engage more with his officers in improving the public perception without compromising on the integrity of the commission.

Earlier, in his speech, Abu Kassim said other than public perception, the MACC was facing challenges from the media which had been reporting on every move of the commission.

"It's almost (like a) live telecast, where people start asking who will be the next to be arrested by the MACC; where it becomes so transparent ... which demands fairness to all those being investigated by us," he said.

He also said that corruption was a crime most difficult to prove, as, sometimes, it involved the investigation of friends or relatives of the suspects.

Abu Kassim also shared his experience in handling illegal sand-mining activities in Perak, Selangor, Johor and Pahang, saying he personally briefed Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on the seriousness of the problem and added that 49 people had been arrested.

When asked by reporters later whether he would push for the MACC to be given the power to prosecute, Abu Kassim said he was not complaining.

"I would rather not comment on this matter. I only want the public to understand that our job is only to carry out investigations, and that's all," he said. - Bernama

The Star Online, Saturday July 31, 2010
It is high time the Government under the leadership of Najib take corruption, abuse of power and incompetence by the horn.

In order for the public to have the confidence to return back support to Barisan Nasional led by UMNO and under the leadership of Najib, there must be a serious and credible attempt by Government to wipe out corruption.

There must be no ifs and buts.

Although the indictment of PKFZ may have an immediate impact on MCA and UMNO short term perception, the fight against corruption must not stop but continue.

More big names - be it from the ruling parties or oppositions parties or senior Government servants or corporate personalities - must be hauled up before the public can be confident change is in the air.

Other than the racially motivated Chinese voters, the rationale voters have lost confidence with the Pakatan Government ability to administer the states. However the voters are not ready to return to UMNO.

More beheading before the voters are confident with the leadership's sincerity to wipe out corruption. When voters are confident, there is no turning back for BN. The Chinese boycott of UMNO is of no consequence.

With Chinese being involved on the giving end in almost every giving act of corruption and vice businesses, particularly in the Pakatan states, this will sent fears through their grassroots.

BN has attempted to win the heart of Chinese but to no avail. They are now becoming unreasonable in their demands at the detriment of other races.

BN should not be threatened. Action must be taken. Compromise must end. Betraying BN will come at their peril.

Corruption free Malaysia does not favour traditional Chinaman businesses. It is their clannish attitude and other unsavory practices of the past that has stem the progress of Malaysia for all to benefit and inhibit the desired unity towards a Bangsa Malaysia.

Najib should use the opportunity to heighten effort to wipe out corruption, power abuse and incompetence.

His administration should not stop at only indictment on PKFZ and other cases in the near future but undertake a major cabinet reshuffle to remove and replace a significant member of his cabinet members, irrespective of their position in the party.

He must be more thorough and selective in renewing important positions in Government. The public has the ability to judge and uncover information beyond the simple reach of the Prime Minister.

Even when many are not indicted, those with tainted reputations or proven for incompetence like Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Dato Khaled Nordin, Dato Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, and many more must be dropped.

In our honest observation, all the three UMNO Vice Presidents, head of party wings and several leading winners in the Majlis Tertinggi have proven to be mediocre, ineffective and incompetent in their position in Government.

It is recommended that they be replaced with more competent individuals and their time is best to focus at strengthening the party.

Position in UMNO must not be assumed as position in Government. Ministerial position are meant for those with respectability, administrative or managerial skill, knowledgable, and visionary.

Do not leave out money politics offender in UMNO. It is impossible to believe that out of 2,000 complaints to UMNO HQ, there is only 10 indictment.

Resistance to change will be expected but UMNO is no position to give excuses unless they wish to become an opposition party in the next election.

Najib have given the right message as to not interfere in the process of law. He should not stop there.

The removal of Gani Patail must be on the card. Most of the complains within the emforcement agencies are that Gani is in collusion with corruption offenders to stop from bringing cases forward. Give him a new position or send him to The Hague for crying out loud.

Najib should seriously consider to empower MACC to prosecute cases without having to be at the mercy of the Attorney General Office. They should be allowed to do like other agencies such as Bank Negara Malaysia.

Another thing about MACC, there must be a mechanism that prevent their officers from covering up for one of the boys i.e. fellow Government servants. Collusion among the Humphrey Applebys at Putrajaya is prevalent but unknown to the public.

On a long term, Najib need to look into a reform of political party financing and allocations of Assemblymen and Parliamentarian. This should involve not only UMNO and BN but encompassing all political parties.

Many a times corruption is justified under the pretext of "political fund". The KLSE and now Bursa is a washing machine to clean "political fund" into legal money. The amount of black economy related to "political fund" is too big to be ignored.

Of late, since the emergence of Pakatan Government, political funds is also linked to organised crime in gambling, illegal VCDs, and entertainment.

On the issue of allocations for SAs and MPs, be done with this practise. This is the job of local authorities. SAs and MPs should focus in their role as policy maker and law makers and not do local council man job.

It is high time to end corruption and be transparent in the political operation of this country. The country can't afford to continue going on this way.

MBf Mysteries

Back in the early 90s, this blogger used to attend Friday prayers frequently at a mosque within the compound of the Police Training Academy (Pulapol) at Jalan Semarak Kuala Lumpur.

The mosque was also the favourite place of aspiring politicians and up and coming corporate personalities.

One of them was Anwar’s ABIM man, the late Dato Nasaruddin Jalil. To many, he is known for his involvement in Gadek and later attempt to establish an airline called Asia Pacific Airline. That time, Air Asia was a subsidiary within DRB.

Nasa, as he was known, joined the congregation there upon his return from the United Kingdom where he earned his law degree. He had joined MBf Group and later was made Vice President.

Being new, he befriended my group of friends. Nasa continued to remember my face but not my name. When we bump into each other, he would constantly greet me. Never did he knew this blogger is sceptical of Anwar due to an incident in the US in late 70s.

The acquintance did not go further than that. Part of the reason was his position at MBf was a mystery to us.

Why would "Pak Sheikh" Anwar, who was then the Minister of Finance and carrying around an Islamic look, be putting his key man from ABIM in MBf?

Does he not know the MBf taukeh, the late Tan Sri Loy Hean Hong or back then is refered as Dato Loy, itu penyangak dan penyamun?

The 90s was the heydays of Malaysian businessman going conglomorate.

The Melayu Baru were catching up with the local China-man conglomorates like Lion Group, Berjaya, Hong Leong, Kuok Group, and MBf. Tun Mahathir and Tun Daim were building up new Malay corporate personalities to help spearhead the BCIC.

Anwar was building his war chest by buddying up with Chinese corporate players like Hong Leong and MBf.

There is this old news retrieved from Ganeth Sahathevan's blog here entitled "ANWAR - NO INTEREST IN ANY COMPANY" in Business Times dated Nov 18th 1993.

In the report, Anwar the Minister of Finance then did not deny taking a ride with Loy. Isn't it interesting that Anwar had his man Nasa in MBf and MBf Finance and Holdings is under investigation by Bank Negara for irregularities.

Whether there is any wrong doing by MBf or Loy, one can assume it as not a primary issue.

During that time, MBf is run like a typical China man company. It keep pushing the edge. Be it in dealing with their leverage (borrowing), or creditors, or risk management or new businesses, or corporate restructuring or whatever, MBf is built on the premise of make hay while the sunshine.

One can’t prove it in court but conglomorate like MBf will do anything for business. There was a rumour amongst the bankers then that old man Loy had one lady Merchant Banker as Mistress to ease his capital raising.

MBf would even break the law and do unethical things for business. And MBf is not short of lawsuits. It will not surprise anyone to say Loy bribe politicians to save himself from trouble.

Loy is not shy to use his connection and political power. His partner in MBf is Tunku Abdullah of the Melewar Group, a Negeri Sembilan royalty, and former diplomat and MP for Rawang representing UMNO.

With Anwar being the rising political star of the time and expected to be hier apparent to Dr Mahathir, Loy moved in to be close to him. As someone not liked by the regulators, authorities and banlers, Loy needed to befriend Anwar for his and his business sake.

Loy saw it as strategic to give Nasa a job at MBf and given the postion Vice President but was using the office as base to work at bringing the late Tun Ghaffar Baba down.

But Anwar would not be helping out Loy for nothing.

He knows Loy is living on the edge and his fortune can turn by the slightest of hand. He could end up in prison or turned bankrupt. The cost to Loy is more than just job for Nasa or suitcases of cash.

It is rather presumptous but it is not a surprise that Loy had judges in his pocket. Remember this?

In Ganesh blog here, Singapore's Straits Times dated May 4th 1994 published a Bernama report entitled "Lord President under fire for meeting MBf chief." The Lord President was Tun Hamid Omar.

For Loy to be able to meet Hamid inside his chamber, it cannot be just to congratulate. He can send flowers or congratulation notes. Many do send judges that.

Unsophisticated Loy cannot simply barge in to meet Tun Hamid. There must be a someone to arrange the meeting.

One habit Anwar does since being in opposition is to blame others for his own misdeed. Anwar is accusing the BN Government of judicial abuse but what is known back then is that he was friendly with the judges.

The late and controversial Hamid Omar maybe appointed by Dr Mahathir, but reading the news, there is likelihood that Anwar had arranged Loy to meet Hamid. There is a high probability that Nasa asked for Anwar’s help in the highly controversial case involving then Bukit Bintang MP, Wee Choo Keong.

On May 10th, 1994, Straits Times Singapore reported "Two judges won't hear MP's appeal." Read in Ganeth blog here.

Wee was appealing against a judgement of two years jail for contempt of court. He managed to have Justice Tan Sri Eusoffe Chin and Justice Datuk Mohamed Dzaiddin, two of three panel judges, from hearing his appeal. Why?

MBf's counsel was Gopal Sri Ram, now Federal court judge.

Anwar used to claim in an interview upon release that he bump into Tun Dzaiddin and embrace each other. Whether it is one occasion Anwar is not lying, one will never know but it can be used to reiterate the point again that Anwar was personally friendly with the judges.

In this case, he used his contacts with the judges to help save Loy.

Again, what is Anwar’s fee for abuse of power rendered?

At the time and during the reformasi days, Anwar’s people were spreading allegations that Dr Mahathir had interest in companies of Vincent Tan, Jeffrey Cheah, Francis Yeoh, Anantha Krishnan, and many non Malay corporate personalities.

By the actions of some of these corporate personalities after Dr Mahathir’s retirement and being able to personally see Dr Mahathir's relatively simple lifestyle, such thought seemed slanderous.

Back then, it would not be too bizarre to claim Anwar yearned to have his own cacai (Chinese macai). It is known that Anwar was close to Hong Leong. He helped the Hong Leong Group secure the elusive banking license which Lee Kuan Yeew vow to never give them.

The talk in certain circle back then and still is pervading today is: Does Anwar has interest in MBf?

Researching through disparage sources of old KLSE handbooks did not reveal anything to show Anwar’s direct interest. One hint was the absence of MBf in Sally Cheong's compilation of Chinese controlled companies on the KLSE.

If there is no significant change in shareholding, there is a possibility that Anwar’s interest is held by Loy himself.

When Tun Hamid was in hot soup, Kalimullah helped clarified Hamid's side of the story in Singapore's Straits Times report dated May 12th 1994. Read "Lord President under probe over car sale to tycoon" in Ganeth here.

Was Kalimullah helping Anwar to clean up Tun Hamid's name?

In the report, Law Minister, Dato Syed Hamid Albar told Parliament yesterday that the ACA had received a report from Wee against Tun Hamid and his allegations were proven untrue.

This report made Wee looked evil and the judge unfairly accused. Noticable was Semangat 46’s Sukri was made to sound unhappy with Wee.

Eventually, MBf managed to obtain an exparte injunction against Wee.

It was only 14 years later on April 2007 before Wee could strike out the injunction by the MBf group against him. With that, Wee could counter sue MBf Group for RM40 million for the injustices against him.

Meanwhile, Loy had passed away at just around the time of reformasi. By 1999, son Loy Teik Ngan took over but the block of shares remain held by Puan Sri.

MBf Finance lost out from being one of the anchor Banking Group due to bad loans. They were solvent but need to be recapitalised. Without anyone powerful behind them, MBf Finance were taken over by Arab Malaysian Group and were taken out of MBf Capital.

As reported in MBF Holding 2000 Annual Report, one of the Director, Lim Hean Beng retired and Azizan Abdul Rahman, Kalimullah Hassan and Tan Sri Choong Chin Soong joined.

Tunku Abdullah had passed away and his Chairmanship in MBf Holdings was passed to son Tunku Iskandar.

Later Loy’s son distanced himself from MBf Holdings and an Indian group took control of MBf Holdings around 2000.

They turned MBf Holding into now MBf Corporation. Recently MBf Corporation attempted to turn private but was rejected at the EGM. Azizan remain as Board member till today.

At MBf Capital, Azizan and Kalimullah also joined the Board of Directors in 2000.

When the full takeover of MBf Finance was completed by Arab Malaysian Group, MBf Capital reported in the 2001 Annual report that Kalimullah is the new Chairman.

Investment Banker Azizan replaced Loy Teik Ngan as Managing Director but remain as Director. Azizan became a Dato by then. One Nor Yakcop proxy, Muhammad Ayub Ali of Bumiwerk Sdn Bhd is on the Board of Director.

The question pervading this blogger is:

What happened to Anwar’s interest? And there is two parts of the interest – at MBf Holdings and MBf Capital. Is there such an interest? If there is, who is holding for him? Who is looking after his interest on his behalf? Anyone knows?

If it can be proven that Anwar still has interest in MBf Capital around 2004, it could be proven that Kalimullah, Nor Yakcop and Anwar were together in one company.

Dr Mahathir and Blogging Ethics

This morning Tun Dr Mahathir delivered a speech at the Asian Bloggers and Social Media Conference 2010 at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

Dr Mahathir's speech today stressed on bloggers to be truthful in their reporting of event and views, to avoid hurting anyone, and maintain reputation of blogs by being responsible.

It is hard for Government to control blogs but blogs disseminating untrue information will eventually be deserted by readers. In order to maintain respectability and credibility, he suggested that a code of ethics for bloggers and be voluntarily adhered to.

For those quick with the grip bureaucrats at the Ministry of Information, Culture and Multimedia, don't be too over eager. The suggestion is for self regulation and be done voluntarily.

The opportunity from no control on the flow of information has attracted bloggers to expose wrongdoings by politicians and public officials.

In doing so, he reminded bloggers again to tell the truth and not be driven by likes or dislikes towards anyone.

Comments made by Malaysia's number 1 blogger seemed to strike a similar chord with certain commentators' belief that this blogger is getting personal with Tan Sri Zarinah, Securities Commission Chairperson.

For that allegation to hold true, there must be tangible personal benefit at stake for someone to be considered getting personal towards a person.

It sound corny and perhaps rhetorical, does this blogger's concern for the survival of his bangsa (both meaning) and distaste for corruption, abuse of power and incompetence considered as sufficient and tangible?

That is something we can all deliberate on but only God knows the sincerity behind anyone's words.

The Internet and blogging has bare open all forms of control in information flow and in a practical sense, it has achieve that the "true freedom" of information.

This is unlike mainstream media where there exist some form of censorship by Government and regulators or by editors. Most of time censorship comes from the personal interpretation of reporters and writers.

Dr Mahathir has repeatedly spoke of the need for both mainstream and alternative media to back what is written and write about the truth.

How do one determine the truth? Only God knows the absolute truth.

The best that we can do as mortal human with limitation is to be truthful. It could mean as to not lie in our words. That itself can be a difficult task as to determine which is the truth and which is not.

To this blogger's interpretation, truthfulness relates to about being frank, sincere, and honest.

It means being transparent in our view, analysis and source. In the event, the source of information cannot be divulge or only hints can be given, be honest about it. If it is only personal belief or speculation, say so.

And if there are response, rebuttal and denial of our writings, this blog have no qualm in publishing it. More so, when this blog is proven to be wrong.

There should not be any practise to hide or lie using deceptive phrasings.

The Internet is a powerful tool to communicate and dissiminate ideas. Dr Mahathir said it took WIlliam Wilberforce 20 years to campaign against slave trade in Britain some 200 years ago.

With the Internet, blogs and social networking, the reach is faster and global.

Dr Mahathir took the opportunity to reach to the young crowd on his favourite campaigns to Criminalise War and boycott against Tony Blair.

Being frank, sincere, and honest in his words has always been one attribute of Tun as a leader.

It proves the Christian saying that the truth shall set you free. It has helped him fight against lies and slanderous accusations made against him.

This should be emulated by many politicians, corporate and public officials. To a certain official, they should realise that the truthful ways is no more about being able to convince the Prime Minister or Minister in charge of EPU.

At times, they themselves have trouble convincing the sceptical public.

No manouvring ... Zarinah. Face the press! Answer Parliament!

She is not a mute .. see picture

It is no more a secret.

It was not supposed to be divulge yet but it is already out there. Syed Akbar broke the story here and Rocky commented here.

Securities Commission Chairwoman tried to meet a select few bloggers via a "Minister". Positive engagement between bloggers and officials are welcome although it is a cheap media relation trick. But not for this one.

This blogger is still disgusted with Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop's interference with the MSN, particularly Utusan Malaysia for censoring criticism against him and Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar by YB Wee Choo Keong in Parliament.

In the midst of the expose, she was believed to have called and was going frantic at Rocky for giving links to this blog. Is that the transparency and good governance she usually spew to PLC Directors and officials?

For her paranoia and cheap press relation trick, does Zarinah expect us to receive her with open arms?

Cheap trick and deception

Press Secretaries usually buddy buddy with members of the press to avoid getting critical news of their boss and seek favours in moment of needs. Of late, they are using the same trick with bloggers, particularly vocal blogs with big followings.

Their biggest fear is more of the pro-UMNO bloggers than pro-Pakatan bloggers. Perhaps this is "isi bakul angkat sendiri" but pro-UMNO bloggers are more credible than pro-Pakatan bloggers. Pro-UMNO bloggers have no qualm of being critical or to tegur BN Government or parties or leaders or policies.

It is unlike our pro-Pakatan counterpart who are not independent enough. They lost credibility for promoting excessive spinning, and slanderous propaganda. See the Rocky-Harris debate here and here for a representative sample of a pro-Pakatan and pro-PKR (Zaid Ibrahim faction) blogger.

Going back to Zarinah's attempt to do a cheap trick, this blogger was called up by a "Minister"'s confidante to convey his/her polite request that this blogger meet-up with Zarinah.

This really pissed this blogger. It is as though she is trying to use political pressure on bloggers. What made her think as though we are on the "Minister" 's payroll and be instructed upon?

Zarinah and "Mrs" Azizan met the "Minister" over a long dinner to discuss about the Kenmark affair. However, as told by the confidante, Zarinah will not make any public statement.

That stance of her is an insult to this blogger's intelligence.

If Zarinah had done her homework before making such statement, she would have known that this blog knew she was up for renewal and is well aware of "SC Chairwoman renewal politics?" in late March. [She was renewed for a year from April 1st.]

It is crystal clear that she is hiding from meeting the press and avoid being asked publicly of allegations on her spouse by bloggers and Wee Choo Keong in Parliament.

It is as though she is trying to deceive the leadership into renewing her contracts by temporarily hiding her misdeeds. Nor Yakcop wants his appointee renewed to carryout his dirty work.

Hiding something?

The "Minister" is not at fault because when she met him/her, she appealed to his position in Government as regulator. She discussed her predicament and gave her side of the story on the Kenmark issue.

Fine and well. No one is stopping her from investigating as long as she does not try to rough up journalists.

At the same time, her issue has moved from SC's role in investigating Kenmark to serious allegation on wrongdoings by the "Mrs" and her credibility as Chairwoman.

Here lies the possibility that she may have not briefed the "Minister" on the "Mrs"'s alleged wrongdoings raised by bloggers and Wee Choo Keong in Parliament.

For a public official of her position to avoid the press, it puts into question her calibre and credibility as SC Chairwoman.

In this age where transparency is called upon, her refusal to answer to the highest body in the country and public via the press contradicts her so-called commitment against fraud and pursuit for transparency and good governance.

She is acting suspiciously as though she got something to hide. This is more so, with tainted Nor Yakcop helping out to cover for her.

The bloggers will not see it any other ways.

Zarinah must FIRST face the press and answer the questions made by Parlimentarian Wee Choo Keong. No simple denials please, because these days it is not good enough.

Show us where exactly allegations made against her and her "Mrs" are wrong. Reveal convincing details. If we are wrong, we are wrong. This blogger have no ego as tall as Ayah Pin's teapot and like that of Harris Ibrahim's to not admit any wrong or mistake.

Until she does so, this blogger shall not be part of any shabby coverup. The "Minister"'s request is respectfully denied.

Kalimullah and Khairy: Don't they have any shame?

Jaringan Muda Melayu (JMM) made allegations that Dato Kalimullah Hassan secured Government contract to finance his attack of Najib.

Through company, Efficient E-Solutions Sdn Bhd, Kalimullah secured a contract from Inland Revenue Board and plowed the profit back into an online news portal The Malaysian Insider to attack Dato Seri Najib.

Kalimullah denied the allegations. He claimed he was no more a Director of Efficient E-Solutions from June 21st, 2006, which holds 20% of VPI International that allegedly secured the contract.

He went on to claim he never secured Government contracts all his life. That's a laugh.

His partner and protege, Khairy Jamaluddin call for an open tender on the RM43 billion KL MRT project. He demanded it should not be based on any direct negotiation with Gamuda-MMC. What a hipocrit?

Don't both of them have any shame?

Kali, GEIC and ECM Libra

In construction, project by project business or supply business, contracts is the revenue for the company. For this posting, the meaning should be expanded to mean anything Government had awarded.

In the case of Kalimullah, the fact that he managed to secure the position of Editor in Chief of New Straits Times and the perks and influence that comes with it, he benefited from the Government of the day.

Otherwise, how would someone who was never reached Editor level of any newspaper and deemed a security threat secured such a high post?

When he was the inner circle of Pak Lah's weak administration, he was a shareholders of ECM Libra. For most, they can only remember the debacle behind the acquisition of Government controlled, Avenue Capital which is later called Avenue Asset.

Let's go back a bit.

The group started out with two former Hong Leong executive David Lim and Kian Onn establishing Libra to do boutique investment banking under investment advisory license.

They then met up with Kalimullah and tookover a former subsidiary of Bank Bumiputera, Bumiputera Securities. That time, Bank Bumi was being dismantled and Pak Lah gave Bumi Securities to Libra and became ECM Libra.

The Berhad end name came when they took the listing status of South Peninsular Berhad via backdoor listing. That made Tan Sri Azman Hashim a shareholder of ECM Libra.

IRB and The Malaysian Insiders

Kalimullah claimed he was no more Company Directorship but was not shareholder of VPI International.

However, documents here revealed that he remained as shareholder and the contracts with IRB was for a FIVE year period - from 26 September 2005 till 25 September 2010.

He claimed he was never part of The Malaysian Insiders. But what does he have to say when VPI Director, Sreedhar Subramaniam was claimed as brainchild of The Malaysian Insiders from back in Feb 25th 2008?

Blogger of blog Jejak Pujangga, Mohamad Asyraf, who was 17 years as reporter with NST and was with Kalimullah, said it is futile for Kalimullah to deny. Who doesn't know that his associates', Brendan Pereira dan Jahabar Sadiq operated Malaysian Insider.

Just before leaving NST, Kalimullah established Fox Media with Brendan Pereira, WOng Sulong etc. Is he saying that serice contract from Economic Planning Unit, Inland Revenue Department (LHDN), The Royal Malaysian Police etc are not Government contracts?

An Iskandar Regional Development Authority event managed by Fox Media earned that millions!

UMNO's liability

From one liar, we go to Kalimullah's protege whose doing a transition to lying via the hypocratic route.

Who is he to talk against direct nego when during his father in law's premiership, he and Kalimullah killed the Naza versus Syed Mokhtar bid for DRB?

They favoured Naza and Kalimullah made that infamour NST frontpage headline "And the winner is ..."

It is an open secret that Khairy was regularly consulted upon to advise or a less politically correct but more accurate and real description, decide for the slumbering and lazy Prime Minister Tun Dol.

He can deny but nobody would ever believe his denial that every Harry, Dick and Pussy cronies benefited from direct negotiation without open tender with his interference. Just do not challenge us to uncover back old war stories. Try JKR for a start.

Why is Khairy making such remarks? Let me not bush about. Is he declaring war on the Prime Minister?

Politically, Khairy never believed and practised open tender.

If not, why would Tun Dol pressured Hishamuddin to instruct those aspiring for Naib Ketua Pemuda to withdraw and gave free passage to Khairy? Shouldn't that post be tendered out, which I mean contested democratically?

Well ... he did actually submit a tender out the position as Ketua Pemuda UMNO. Otherwise, why would he be cheered and jeered with chants of "Khairy rasuah! Khairy rasuah! Khairy rasuah!"

Everyone knows that he bought the votes with contracts. As a much despised arrogant person he is, Khairy's has no other way to gain loyalty then through money.

Every time, he manage to pull a chap into his fold, his famous words are, "There is more from where it came from."

Is there more coming, hungry soldiers?

Nor Yakcop interfered in newspaper affair

Nor Yakcop, another mata lebam

Following Wee Choo Keong's speech last Thursday, someone called on the editors of newspapers The Star, the New Straits Times and Berita Harian instructing them to not report Wee's speech.

The person failed to stop Utusan Malaysia, who had published an online report entitled "Pecat Nor Yakcop, Zarinah."

Wee saw the online report. [Read here.] However, the report must have been removed from their website in the early morning.

By the next day, Utusan published instead a denial by SC's Head of Corporate Affair, Abdul Jalil Hamid with snippets in the frontpage. Was it Jalil harrasing the editors?

The commentary boxes in Rocky Bru's here revealed that Jalil was a balaci of Brendan Pereira, the former NST Editor working in cahoot with Kalimullah that left in shame for plagirising Mitch Albon's work.

Nor Yakcop got also got his denial in the next day issue on Sunday. According to blogger Syed Akbar here, it was Nor Yakcop that called on the newspapers.

Whether it is Jalil or Nor Yakcop, both points to the Singapore intelligence and pengkhianat negara, Kalimullah.

This raised several questions:
  • Why a Minister should interfere in the affair of newspapers when Najib gave more leverage to the press?

  • Does Kalimullah still exert influence on mainstream media?

  • Source said Zainul Ariffin, Syed Nadzri and Rashid Yusof are Melayu Liberals promoting Kalimullah's agenda.
The removed Utusan Malaysia news report was retrieved and made available below:

Pecat Nor Yakcop, Zarinah

* Nor Yakcop mempunyai sekurang-kurangnya 500 peti besi mengandungi wang tunai berikutan setiausaha politiknya, Hasbie Satar ditahan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) selepas didapati menyimpan 48 peti besi mengandungi wang tunai.

Khairy's desperate and futile attempt

Khairy is trying hard to revive himself back into the limelight after a long domancy. He has been under severe pressure and critic for the disunity and malaise in Pemuda UMNO, after much promises made in the Ketua Pemuda campaign.

Unfortunately, the manner he tries to bring himself back to relevance back fired big time. His attempt to get sympathy by offering not to contest in the next election is not getting the desired response.

With supporter like Ketua Pemuda UMNO Selangor, Suhaimi Zulkifli under heavy fire from the Divisions, no voices surface to plead him to reconsider.

Khairy lost his head to enter into a war of words with Dato Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa and taking the side of Wee Ka Siong and MCA in their clashes with Perkasa. The pressure he is under is reflected in the harsh words he dished back to critical words sent to him on Tweeters.

The outcome of his clashes with Ibrahim will not put him in a better light with the Malay community and perhaps even in UMNO.

Khairy is in desperation and need a Cabinet position to keep his politics alive. Otherwise, instead of him able to tanam Anwar, it he who will be buried first.

Supporting words from Sakmongkol, the only pro UMNO blogger with credible traffic left giving support to him, is of no help. Rashid Yusof dare not champion Khairy for fear of backlash to New Straits Times. The Malaysian Insiders is buying time before being stripped bare.

Khairy, though smart, does not realise that people can see through him. And Dato Seri Najib and Rosmah realised something which recently was confirmed of him.

What did they realised? Read on.

Failing schemes

Khairy is currently working on schemes to get himself into Cabinet. With his support in UMNO wavering, obviously he cannot rely on support within UMNO but try the route via the component parties.

In return for his support to him and MCA against Perkasa's on slaught, Wee Ka Siong returned the favour by showering praises of his moderate path. Pemuda MCA must be suffering from amnesia. Two years ago they weren't exactly heads over heel with this arrogant son of a bitch.

Believe strongly through the effort of Ketua Pemuda MIC, T Mohan, he managed to plant some voices to criticise Perkasa at the recent MIC Convention.

Making enemy of Perkasa will not help Khairy's politics, whatever positioning he attempts because the fire of Pemuda UMNO is lost to Perkasa. The Malays can read that MCA, Gerakan and Pakatan Rakyat are dousing that old UMNO spirit from being rekindled.

Khairy has no supporter in the media to give him space to say his piece. That explains the alliance with MCA for a slot in The Star.

With media ccess only through The Malaysian Insiders, Khairy had to rely on Sakmongkol on the blogs. None of his Setiakawan bloggers are relevent and anywhere in the top 60 pro-UMNO bloggers. [Read Perak Today's rating table here.]

Dato Sabri tried to sell him as the Tonto to help Najib the Lone Ranger. But the problem with that analogy is that Najib is not the Lone Ranger. No Prime Minister is a Lone Ranger.

And, the Lone Ranger spent time fighting warring injuns. It is unrealistic for The Lone Ranger to trust his life to another injun i.e. an enemy.

If there is any superhero to resemble Najib's situation, it will be Batman and Robin. Unfortunately, Khairy can only play the role of arch villain, the Penguin. Someone else is better suited as Robin. For now, holy smoking mackerel dipped in bar-b-que sauce ... it is Tan Sri Muhyiddin.

Khairy has been given God with some intelligence but he will continue fail because he lack any sense of struggle and sincerity.

Most politicians usually have their personal raison d'etre and stays its course, despite some compromises due to politicking. The problem with Khairy is that he uses his God given intelligence for politicking and endless manouvering without any sense of purpose.

To be involved in politics, one has to have a sense of purpose determined by a "perjuangan" (or the closest English word to mean such is struggle). For every "perjuangan", there is a "pengorbanan" (sacrifice).

What is Khairy's perjuangan? And what has he sacrificed or at least, contribute in his political pursuit to earn him a high position at an early age and is now without shame demanding a Cabinet post?

The only argument left in favour of Khairy would be as argued Sakmongkol is the legitimacy of his position. Aisayman Dato, so what? There is at least 7 or 8 Ketua Pemuda UMNO in the history of UMNO without any Ministerial position. No Ketua Pemuda was ever jeered with chants of "rasuah!" after winning a post.

Dato Sabri has every right to lobby for Khairy's Ministership. The difficulty to buy into his rationale for Khairy is he could not reconcile his disgust against corruption and incompetence but is apologetic to Khairy's money politics practise. He justified it as he "thinks" Mukhriz used money too.

Third party mystery

Dato Sabri did personally said he wanted to stop supporting Khairy's politics. It is high time for Khairy stop being nursed. But he keeps coming back to support the most hated young man in Malaysian political history.

Perhaps, he should read back this old news piece and posting by blog Apanama (below). Hopefully it would knock into him some sense and stop overrelying into his sense of rationale.

ZULKIFLI: I WAS ASKED TO IMPLICATE NAJIB AND WIFE IN ALTANTUYA'S MURDER

MALAY MAIL
Wednesday, March 24th, 2010 18:25:00

KUALA LUMPUR: Former PKR MP, Zulkifli Noordin, caused a stir at the Dewan Rakyat today after claiming that he was asked to implicate Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his wife in the murder of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu.

Zulkifli, in his first speech as an independent MP, also claimed that he was offered a reward to make a statutory declaration linking Najib and Rosmah to Altantuya's murder.

He claimed the offer, involving a huge sum of money, came from a third party during the Altantuya murder trial.

Zulkifli, who was recently sacked by PKR, was initially the counsel for Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, one of the three accused, before discharging himself.

“I discharged myself from the case as there was an attempt by a third party to interfere in the case,” he said in his motion of thanks on the Agong’s Address.

He said the reward was tempting but he refused it.
Who is the THIRD PARTY that Zulkifli Noordin mentioned in the above report? Some were cock-sure the third-party involved a certain Opposition figure who was set to gain by tarnishing by the then Prime Minister in-waiting.

But what many of us failed to consider was, WHO could have been the biggest beneficiary, had the EVIL plan to implicate Datuk Seri Najib and his wife in the murder worked out as the culprits had planned?

(At that point of time Slumberjack Abdullah Badawi was Prime Minister but it was the FOURTH FLOOR satans- under KJ who were basically running the country).

So, had Najib been prevented from moving up to replace the Slumberjack, who stood to benefit the most for an extended period of time? THINK!

Eventually Zulkifli met Najib and had exposed the entire CONSPIRACY which was masterminded by two desperate Prime Minister wannabeeeees.

So, now PM know who the culprits are.

After their cover was blown, one culprit came up with Apco and some Jewish fairy-tales to divert the people's attention while another has now been trying to be a hero defending everything under the sun.

Apco back-fired bigtime on one while the other is basically threatening to jump ship.

With this on-going drama, some political analyst (specialized in political survival) feel that this is the best time for KJ to quit Umno, in order to safe Anwar Abraham and Pakatan Rakyat.
If Sakmongkol is convinced and ready to leave that rascal, ask him to leave UMNO soonest.

Any later, more will be unravelled of him, Kalimullah, Nor Mohamad Yakcop, Zarinah and Azizan, etc.

Song of Silence: Dedicated to Zarinah & Azizan

Hope the happy couple love and understand this song ... :)

Al Fatihah for Dalilah

Elviza and Dalilah in one of those bloggers get-to-gather

Yesterday, blogger cum Sinar Harian columnist Elviza sent this SMS from blogger Dalilah's husband:
"Salam semua. Dalilah Tamrin sedang nazak. Mohon dari semua keampunan. Maafkan kesalahannya dunia akhirat."
I immediately replied Elviza asking where she is now to visit. By the time she could reply, it was late in the evening to visit the hospital.

I thought I would get to visit her at the Oncology Ward at General Hospital today after clearing my morning chores. Alas, it is too late. Bigdog had just called to say she had passed away. The body will be taken to Banting for burial today.

Dalilah, or Raden Galoh as she called herself on her blog, had been suffering from breast cancer for few years. She wrote her experiance on the blog Onebreastbouncing.

I was introduced to this strong willed woman in our weekly Blogger's Tuesday Mee Rebus at Kak Ton's house in Kelana Jaya. My wife always remember her for a book she gave her.

Off late, her health had been really bad. In her last posting on June 19th, 2010, she shared her suffering as she wrote:

"The pain became intense and excruciating that I have nothing else in my mind except pledging for Allah's mercy and love to reduce the pain."
Her final words to all of us ...

"Let's hope this is not the final entry. Should it be, I hope it becomes an avenue that people seek for some good guidance, InsyaAllah.

God bless you all. "
No Dalilah, it was your last entry.

I can imagine how difficult it is for her to express herself in that condition to share her last few moments with us.

May God bless you, lovely lady. We will love and miss your bubbly character. You will be joining Captain Ancient Mariner for that greatest blog up in heaven.

Al Fatihah ... I wish the family condolence. May they be strong in this sad and trying moment.

.... I am off to her funeral.

Are Anwar's other lawyers not good enough?

Nah ... they are no Thundercat, But Tunda Cat

Words are Karpal Singh is down with penumonia or some lung infection. He was hospitalised at the University Hospital for a few days. This was picked up in the blog The Unspinners last Friday.

Since delaying court proceeding is the mainstay of Anwar's legal strategy, obviously Anwar is considering to use this as an excuse for adjournament. As it is, with court already delayed from beginning on the scheduled July 12th to July 19th.

The Unspinners claimed that Dato Param Cumarasamy advised them to secure a Medical Cert for a week's leave.

If sucessful, the scheduled 14th to 23rd July trial would pass by without a single day of trial. It is already the 16th day of trial and yet only two of the Prosecutor's witness called in.

The court should reject this request for adjournment because Anwar is being defended by a team of distinguished and experianced lawyers, including several trial lawyers involved in the first case in 1998 and anyone lawyer can relieve Karpal.

The judge should stop allowing Anwar from making a mockery of the court process with constant delays.

It is a bit more than two years from Anwar's dreaded date of June 28th, 2008. That is the date Saiful made a police report claiming being sodomised by Anwar on June 16th.

Tomorrow would be day 16 since Anwar's trial began on February 3rd.

To begin trial on the slick and slimy weasel, it was a challenge by itself. Anwar would constantly come up with drama after drama, excuses after excuses, and court filings after court filings.

When trial was about to begin in mid 2009, Sulaiman Abdullah claimed sick until he quit in July to replaced by Karpal Singh. There were various filings and appeals including application to strike out the case, syariah court diversion using qazaf, request for evidence disclosure, etc.

As opposed to Sulaiman, Karpal Singh the politicians is more willing to play along Anwar's game for the Court of Public Opinion than Legal Court at Jalan Duta.

There is never a day in court, which Karpal Singh would not ask for delay or adjournament. Anwar is quite happy with any form of delays, even if it is only to end the day's session at noon.

His hope is see the case stretch till near the next General Election and spark a Reformasi II revival for him to wrestle power from Barisan Nasional and be pardoned free.

Sulaiman Abdullah, the former leading lawyer and part of the legal team for the 1998 case, had withdrawn as leading lawyer over a dispute in the way the case is supposed to be done.

It is strongly believed that he refused to be part of the mockery of endless delays. After willingly playing sick, he quit at just before trail is about to begin in July 2009. As far as the public is concern, they were told Sulaiman is sick.

Sulaiman's role as leading lawyer was replaced by Karpal Singh. The leading lawyer for 1998 team, Raja Addruse together with Datuk Param Cumaraswamy, dan Datuk CV Prabakharan joined the team.

Anyone of these three can step up to the plate at any courts in Malaysia. What exuse will they come up with tomorrow?

Karpal brought in son, Ram Karpal Singh Deo and Marissa Regina Fernando, daughter to late Christopher Fernando, a key trial lawyer for the 1998 team.

Sivarasa Rasiah was believed to have had difference in opinion with Karpal and quit. That puts Anwar's legal team number to 13.

The remaining others are Sankara Nair, personal lawyer of Anwar, acting as spokesman and part of the 1998 team, Mohd Radzlan Jalaludin, Edmund Bon, Amer Hamzah Arshad, Leela J. Jesuthasan, Wan Anuar Sadat, dan Saiful Izham Ramli.

PKR's Communication Chief, Latheefa Koya was the last to join to make up into a team of 14.

This does not include a separate team of syariah lawyers; namely Kamar Oiniah and Shabrimi Chik but still bigger than the 1998 team of 10.

That team was led by Raja Aziz Addruse. Team are Christopher Fernando, Gurbachan Singh, Pawancheek Merican, Sulaiman Abdullah, S.N. Nair, Zainur Zakaria, Kamar Aniah, Zulkifli Nordin, dan Faiz Abdullah.

Maybe this is too much and some of those mentioned lawyers have dropped out. With such numbers of lawyers available and capable to replace Karpal Singh, is it fair to the courts and victim for Anwar to ask for delay?

This delay tactic by Anwar is beginning to be obnoxiously sickening.

In one occasion, Anwar fabricated a request to visit again the scene of the crime at Apartment 11-5-1 Desa Damansara Kondominium for the afternoon session. It turn out, Anwar wanted to visit Apartment 11-5-2 and 11-5-3, two Apartment he claim to have had meetings.

Since the two Apartments are not part of the crime scene, it is not under court temporary possession and keys had to be secured from owner.

For that he managed to get a day and a half of delay since it requires his former friend and owner Hasanuddin's permission for entry. So happen, Hasanuddin is out of town.

From the onset Saiful made his police report, Anwar has resorted to conjuring up all sorts of dirty tricks and even malicious and seditous ones.

Immediately after knowledge of the police report, Anwar created an International scene by hiding in the Turkish Ambassador's home at the next day on June 29th. While still inside, he had his lawyers filed a defamation against Saiful on June 29th.

Anwar lodged report against Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan on July 1st. MACC immediately investigated and found nothing.

That did not stop Anwar to make a filing in court to stop both their involvement in the case. All along, his intention is to find a legal loophole to stop the whole Police Force and Public Prosecutors Office to investigate and prosecute him.

He created a conspiracy using unacceptable medical report of Pusrawi and spinned interpretation of General Hospotal report.

Anwar created an issue of Utusan Malaysia's reporting and filings upon filings caused delay.

He used his Parliament sitting as excuse and court fixed with dates as May 10 to 14, May 31 to June 4, July 14 to 23, and Aug 2 to 30. If Karpal's 7-day MC is accepted, the scheduled July 14 to 23 would pass by without a trial.

From early February to July, the court had gone through only 2 prosecutor's witness. There is another two doctors, two Chemists and Apartment security before the court decide if there is a prima facie case against Anwar.

If there is, Anwar will have to defend himself. Many believe he has no alibi to save him. The Apartment camera is there to dispute any claim.

Most difficult for Anwar is to dispute his bodily deposit at Saiful's anus. Other than fault finding on procedural issues, how will Anwar dismiss the Chemistry finding that the DNA found is his and is from a semen? Let's end this posting with a jual pantun:
Sarapan pagi jemput-jemput
Makan telor nanti terkentot
Oi Nuar peminat si lembut
Kenapa jumpa DNA di bontot?

Did SC and Nor Mohamad beat up Utusan Malaysia editors?

Finally ... the balless Securities Commission responded.

They responded and was given the front page by Utusan Malaysia yesterday. (See above). The snippet in the front page below:

The full report here.

Rocky Bru was right to point out that YB Wee Choo Keong had raised a lot of issues [read his postings here, here and here] and divulge lots of names and Companies but they only responded to Pantai-Parkway issue.

Rocky who described their response as selective asked where are the response with regard to "Mrs" Zarinah, Isyoda, and Tenco? Not be miss also is Big Dog's Wee vs SC.

There will be no comment from these blogger because Wee's reply is good enough. Read here.

However, this blogger spotted something strange and interesting.

The night before at NPC, blogger Eric Woon of I am a Malaysian told this blogger that Utusan had put up an online report entitled "Pecat Nor Yakcob, Zarinah."

I didn't quite believe it. When I returned NPC, I scoured through Utusan Online for that report to no avail.

Lucky I found the url on the blog Jelapang's posting here. But when double clicked, it leads to an empty page.

The url below:
http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2010&dt=0716&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Parlimen&pg=pa_01.htm
Try it. Maybe you have better luck.

What obviously happen here is Utusan Online was asked to remove that report. Despite Wee's long response, Mingguan Malaysia only reported to Zarinah's Mamak Mafia Godfather, Nor Mohamad Yakcop reply:
Nor Mohamed nafi dakwaan

Kesian Wee ... his response was only given two sentence at the end. It looks like he is being clobbered two days in a row by Utusan Malaysia. If much speculated PM Office's gatekeeper, Dato Shafie Abdullah kacau his constituency, then it confirm Nor Yakcop's hand in it.

If you didn't hear from me putting up posting for more than two days, there is the likelihood he sent out some bulky Mamak gangster after me.

Me no worries there and happy the game is in play and now is at another level.

There are people out there, who is in the know of Nor Yakcop's exploit, will come out talking. Those who believe in the Malay provern, "Pokok tidak goyang kalau tiada angin" will begin to ask question.

This blog will continue to write. More undisputable stuff is going to come out.

This corporate mafia with a leg on the side of Anwar Ibrahim and legacy of Abdullah Badawi must be brought down. Or the nation will be losing hundreds of bilions from their corrupt and incompetence.

"Pegang bara sampai jadi abu."

There is something interesting observed also. Thus far the ones responding are SC's Head of Corporate Affair, Abdul Jalil Hamid and EPU Minister, Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop.

Why isn't Zarinah talking?

Takut? Bisu? Kalau bisu, berentilah!

Hamzah: An NEAC, MACC member and Anwar sympathiser

This blogger received a call this morning from Little Bird about the last two postings on Dato Dr Hamzah Kassim.

Little Bird is involved in human resource and his expertise in training. He is a position to give the lead on Hamzah.

She did some work on the recent New Economic Model and had discussion with Hamzah, who is a member of the NEAC. That relationship developed to a level they were freer to express their views.

Naturally, Little Bird was happy that the wrongdoings and conflict of interests of Hamzah was exposed and raised in Parliament. Her tone this morning was a little different.

"You know why I had wanted you to play back the issue of Hamzah?" she asked.

"I would assume you wanted to right the wrong."

My innocent answer.

"It is more than that," she explained.

"Mind you he is a Member of the NEAC that was picked by Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop."

"Hmmm ... yes. I found out about that. Go on."

I encouraged her.

"He once said this to me ...."

She couldn't finish his words.

"What did he said?"

"He said to me that he knows Anwar and have met him. In his own words, he said Anwar is okay. I should meet and listen to his idea."

"Listening to Anwar is fine. Believing him is another thing." I replied.

"That's why I had to leak him to you. He is just an opportunistic business man who really has no conscience and has the interest of the nation in his heart. I can still can accept that. But to actually believe Anwar is okay?"

"Yes ... only an insane and indifferent would be taken by Anwar.

I continued, "I am sure you are aware of the recent revelations of his closeness with the American Zionist cabals. That should instill fear in every Malaysians concern with our independence. Anwar is an American stooge who bow to Israeli evil network."

Anyone coverting with foreign powers and power brokers is not any consideration for position for high office in this country.

Whatever reform that Anwar intend to bring are merely sugar-coated promise for him to assume power. He is not a sincere man. He lies to the hilt. When in power, he succumb to the whims and fancies of the superpower.

While I was lost in my own thoughts, he then said, "Now you understand why Ibrahim Ali went on to call Melayu Liberal as traitors. He is one."

Melayu Liberals are corrupts enriching themselves using the Bumiputera special previlages but is against defending Malay and Bumiputera rights and interest for others' benefit.

The guru of Melayu Liberal thinking is Anwar Ibrahim, thus his tendency to sympathise with Anwar. Then you have characters like Nor Yakcop, Tingkat 4, Khairy, Amirsham Aziz, Zaid Ibrahim, etc. On the UMNO side, the ringmaster is Nor Yakcop and he has past links, similar agenda with Anwar and sleeping sympathisers awaiting to reveal themselves.

Any Anwar sympathiser cannot be tolerated.

The danger with characters like Hamzah is that he has access and gaining the trust of those in the corridor of powers and top GLCs. Worse still, his motivation is not about having his services benefiting the nation but merely to enrich himself.

By suggesting schemes that looks wonderful and immediate launch but doomed to fail, it will only put the Prime Minister in a precarious position to face the voters in an upcoming general election soon. And, the multimillion ringgit schemes promoted does no benefit.

The Government is willing to put money in his idea of Talent Corporation. Will it suceed?

The Star on July 12th reported Hamzah's friend Nor Mohamd Yakcop promoting the Talent Corporation:
Talent Corp to woo back 70,000 Malaysians

GEORGE TOWN: The Government is working to woo back more than 70,000 Malaysians now working overseas by reducing bureaucracy and offering better perks, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop said.

He added this move would be made possible through the establishment of Talent Corporation next year, he added.

“We want them to return so that they can offer their expertise to the country,” he said after meeting Bayan Baru Umno division members here yesterday.

Nor Mohamed said many Malaysians were now residing in Hong Kong, New York, the United Kingdom and other countries due to the lucrative income that they earned overseas.

“We want to make available a comfortable working environment, not only for them but for all Malaysians under the 10MP.

Nor Mohamed also said that the Government had been emphasising more on training and skills to ensure that investors continue to choose Malaysia as their destination.

“Many think that vocational schools are not mainstream and therefore parents don’t send their children to study there.

“But those who are not academically inclined can earn a lot by enrolling in such schools and later continuing their studies at other institutions offering skills training,” he added.
Anything that has Nor Yakcop touch is a guanteed failure. The man should be in the Guiness Book of World Record for the biggest loser in financial market.

He is now sitting on another mountain of loss of his creation ie Khazanah and the GLCs or Government Losing Concerns. That should put him in the same Guiness Book of World Records for the same category for Corporate Finance.

My commentator said that the common factor between Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar, SC Chairperson, Penangite Dato Hamzah Hamzah Kassim, ECM Libra approval, Kalimullah, etc is Nor Yakcop.

They are all appointed by him, his cronies or all connections lead back to him. The failure part is now lurking to be known to the public.

Nor Yakob says Talent Corporation will be tasked with getting back 70,000 Malaysians to come back and work in Malaysia. Logically, will they come back with the disparity in salary and lifestyle?

By the manner things operate in Khazanah, GLCs and now Government, they will hire Con-Sultan to prepare and even to implement new initiatives and endeavours. Read back about Pemandu and Syed's Khazanah's Tuna and many other ventures to be revealed soon.

Hamzah's Innovation Associates (IA) will be there ready to absorb the allocations to Talent Corporation.

Cantik ... he pitches the idea. Politicians too easily impressed and in need for a launch would quickly agree and announced. Seems no one bother to look at the most important planning stage and that is the stage we always failed i.e. implementation.

This place opportunist like Hamzah in the right position.

IA will be appointed be appointed as a human resource consultant. They will be travelling around the world to meet Malaysians and other HR consultants abroad. To earn their keep, they will conduct workshops, interviews, recruitment, etc.

In order to reach to the mostly Chinese Malaysian in cities of the world, expensive advertisements in major newspaper will be spend and perhasp TV advertisements.

Government will be charged for all these. This is business and what is charged will be more than what is spent. If there is a corrupt KSU, he will insist that the claim be inflated further.

The worse bloating of claims heard is for every RM10 million, theirs is RM9 million. Everyone plus the Minister is covered.

Now, let say it cost RM10,000 per head to lure back these Malaysians. Multiplied with the mentioned figure of 70,000, that will translate to RM700 million. To bring back 70,000, IA will have to meet more than 70,000 Malaysians.

Even if IA can do the job at a more cost efficient price, it will still add up to be in the hundreds of millions.

Petronas had done a similar program called "talent sourcing" few years ago and it failed. Will Talent Corporation money well spent?

Government will spend a huge budget on this and it is expected to fail because the job, challenge, salary and lifestyle here cannot match what is there abraad. In these day and age, one expect patriotism to sell?

But it will serve the interest of Hamzah, and his fellow mamak Master cum crony, Nor Yakcop. There will be income expected to be billed for Kanari Sdn Bhd. Haaa... what is that? Soon to come.

One can give the excuse this is about giving opportunity to a bumiputera to capitalised for future endeavour? Hmmmmm ... with him and Nor Yakcop as Anwar's crony and sympathisers, that is not where it will be heading.

In the meanwhile, these two lalangs will pretend to help Government.

By the look of things, they are running the country to the ground and make voters meluat with BN so that Anwar can pick up the pieces and claim the primeirship on behalf of the American Neo-Con and Zionist cabals to control the strategic Straits of Malacca.

Hamzah's network is quite extensive. He is close to Khaled Nordin, the Minister for Higher Education that allowed Pakatan to control campus politics and the mind of future voters.

From Dato Effendi Nowawi to Nor Yakcop he had continuosly maintain a close relationship with Ministers in-charge-of EPU. More so now that he is a member of NEAC.

The beauty of this all. Hamzah is a member of some committee in MACC. That will shield him from potential charges of corruption. It is simply too embarassing for MACC to charge its own member.

Day in Parliament for Hamzah & Innovation Associates

This blog had raised the issue of Dato Dr Hamzah Kassim and Innovation Associates (IA) this morning around 10:30 am. By noon, a friend in Parliament alerted me that YB Wee Choo Keong of Wangsa Maju raised about the conflict between Hamzah's positions and businesses.

The following is the excerpt Wee had slipped into his debate speech:

Only this morning, this blog had advised IA to not do an elegence silence, as described by supposed to leave Sime Darby Chairman, Tun Musa Hitam, practiced by SC Chairperson, Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar in the press.

Silence does not help because this blog is monitored by journalist for issues. But the speed issues in this blog reached Parliament only shows that now Members of Parliaments is taking issues from this blog to the Dewan Rakyat.

Watch out all you abusers of power, corrupt, and self interest rent seekers. In this pursuit, let us all work together and put aside cheap childish politicking.

The full speech by Wee is available on his blog here but the part we should be interested is below:

Tuan Yang Di-Pertua,

Pengerusi Suruhanjaya Sekuriti, Yg Bhg Tan Sri Zarinah Anwar, dan siasatan ala-samseng keatas 4 orang wartawan perniagaan berkaitan penjualan sahamKenmark Industrial Co (M) Bhd melibatkan Datuk Ishak Ismail.

Pada 13 Ogos 2006 mantan PM Tun Abdullah Badawi mengakui didalam akhbar The Star saperti berikut:-

“He said the matter was being looked at by the Treasury after realising that it had become a problem as it was related to the concessions for the supply of hospital requirements. The share sale has become a problem, as it involves several matters related to the concessions given to Pantai Holdings that has a contract to supply hospital requirements.”

He said the government had always hoped that the equity would remain with Malaysians but unfortunately it had gone into the hands of foreigners. The concessions have changed hands, and it has gone to other people and (we) hope it will remain with the Malaysian side, and held by Malaysian citizens, he said.”

(Membantu siapa? Kumpulan beliau kah?). Saya memetik:

“This is not a bailout. This is a market-driven problem where there is a willing-buyer, willing-seller. Pantai is seen to be in an industry which is viewed as sensitive as it holds 2 concessions. It (Khazanah’s taking control) has resolved the issue of this sensitive sector.”

Sebabnya mudah.

Jika tidak berbuat demikian, maka PM “will be seen as to condone such acts of anti-national”, dengan izin.

Terima kasih, Tuan Yang Di-Pertua.
