Some good news to share and sad announcement to make.

On July 17, this blog wrote of our visit of retired Air Force Jeneral Dato Sujak Abok who was air flown back to Malaysia by the effort of the Air Force and Dato Azeez Raheem and his Kelab Putera 1Malaysia. [Read here.]

Received an SMS from Perkasa President, Dato Ibrahim Ali on his progress. It reads:

In their budget, Pakatan Rakyat planned for Khazanah Nasional to dissolve and takeover 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

This is their reaction when all it's lies about the government company have been rebutted and turned out as untrue.

To the receptive rakyat, they realised that the only thing consistent about Pakatan's relentless attacks on 1MDB is the inconsistency in their accusations and the blatant lie they tell.

And in each lie they expose themselves as liars.

It is pointless to listen and take the words of liars seriously.

Nevertheless, there is a need to explain and expose their lies so that the rakyat and nation will realise they have ulterior motive and not become victim . 

Nurul turn-on over a meaningless budget?

Without breakfast this morning, this blogger went for an early lunch. While eating and flipping through the Sinar Harian at our neighbourhood warong, we were taken a back by PR's shadow budget announced yesterday.

Not because none in the picture understand economics and public finance.Yes, none....

Let's save Dato Mahfuz Omar any embarassment. Salahuddin Ayub is only an Anthropology graduate. Lim Kit Siang only knows law, politics and politicking. That rules out these three. .

Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim may have been a former Finance Minister, but he only knows how to talk. This student of Malay Studies had Tun Dr Mahathir and Tun Daim assisting in the shadow.

And there is Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim ....

.... who as Menteri besar should be the last to know about budget because narrow minded corporate businessman do not understand public finance and rakyat needs. Furthermore, he messed up Selangor's financial affair. 

Sinar Harian quoted Nurul Izzah described the budget as "memberansangkan" or a turn-on. Perhaps it turned-on the daughter of an adopted Korean because union-leader Syed Sharir claimed it is good for rakyat.

Is Pak Lah still calling the shots, Tony?

We were alerted by blogger Penarik Beca [read here] of Tony's remark made as reported by The Malaysian Insider's yesterday, Leaving Jakarta for an unavoidable sacrifice, says Fernandez.

Penarik Beca highlighted the following remark:

The billionaire music executive-turned-airline-tycoon said that the only way his successor Aireen Omar would be able to grow was by giving her space to come into her own without the risk of having his presence dominating the business. 

“And I don’t want to be like some senior politicians who insist on calling the shots long after they’ve handed over the reins,” he said.

He also highlighted the following:

“We have put Malaysia on the world map and we are investing in its future,” said Fernandes. “So how can these right-wing bloggers say that I’ve abandoned Malaysia? What have they done for the country?”

Wakakaka ... sure you've "put Malaysia on the world map" and "investing in its future". Firstly, you did it after stealing from it. With the stolen money, you only say you are investing in its future. But why leave for Indonesia.

Thank for the tip-off Tony because we didn't know Pak Lah is still calling the shots. That way we will still be on the look-out.

Do they celebrate Raya in Rohingya?

Kelab Putera Malaysia President, Dato Azeez Raheem had wanted to celebrate Hari Raya with the Rohingyas.

Through out Ramadhan, he has been gathering donors for aids to the Rohingyas and should have gone to Arakians in early Syawal. Bloggers have been getting one after another of SMSes informing his press conferences and launches.

He couldn't do exactly as he did last year in Somali. And he lost the opportunity to highlight the plight of the Rohingyas. His loads were already on board the Navy ship but the expected clearance from Myanmar or Bangla Desh official was not forthcoming.

While Malaysian are stuffing themselves over long string of a new tradition that seemed to be willingly embraced by the corporate sector called Hari Raya open houses, Azeez delay was the subject of gossip for keeping the Navy ship out of operations.

SUARAM, and USAid expulsion from Russia

SUARAM is whining everyday ever since they are faced with a barrage of investigations.

Today, The Malaysian Insides reported Penang Deputy CM II, P Ramakrishnan claim SUARAM is being hounded and harrassed for exposing corruption [read here]. Hello! It is only alleged corruption. Did they expose any corruption?

SUARAM's initial reaction to the various demands for investigations was to garner sympathy and support. They claimed they are being harrassed, authorities are reacting to the mob and finally they try a counter offense to express willingness to be scrutinised but insist a probe on Scorpene purchase.

What Malaysian should be concerned is the fact that SUARAM took money from organisation like George Soros's Open Society in which this is the man that was out to wreck our economy in 1997/98 through his currency speculation.

There is money that emanate from National Endowment for Democrasy (NED), a once CIA covert operation that is out in the open today. NED also operate through their two wings; International Republican Institute (IRI) and National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Malaysia.

Air Force pulled one over the Navy

Never meant to insult the Navy or the Navy Chief, but just stating a point for what it is. If there had been any mistake, maybe it is not entirely theirs. It is just learning process.

Must say since Air Force gave bloggers the opportunity to visit the Kuantan base few weeks back, bloggers have grown a soft spot for the Air Force. [Read NPC blog award winner, Dave Avran here.]

Not that the Navy had not been helpful, they were helpful.

Does Rais understand Internet?

"I have zero understanding of the world today"

Over at Telekom's Raya open house on Sunday afternoon, the conversation was about how the Minister for Information, Culture and Multimedia, Dato Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim Phd would react to the You-Tube of the anti-Islam film, Innocence Of Muslims.

There was no takers on the table for a bet against Rais Phd to instruct MCMC (or SKMM in Malay) to censor the online access. No one dare to bet against Rais Phd would attempt the futile censorship of Internet.  

Predictably, he did as The Star's SMS news alert came in at 6:30 PM:

Ah ... gawd. Minister Jurassic, that is no way to handle the Internet..

Feisty Shumi fought back Kua, but where's Tandaputera promo?

In anticipation that the film Tandaputera, which is slotted for release on November 13th, would debunk his May 13 book, instigator par excellence Dr Kua Kia Soong fired the first salvo.

Dr Kua  published his comment, "Deconstructing Prejudice" [read here in FMT] on September 8th.  He is the guy with all the prejudicial presumption and yet he is claiming to deconstruct prejudice. Someone should reconstruct his face and dump him in some cellar.

Yesterday, our prayers were answered. God sent Film Director, Datin Paduka Shuhaimi Baba or Shumi to industry people to answer him back and totally strip him naked.

Feisty Shumi has not only faced opposition from Dr Kua, attacked by DAP cybertroopers, sabotaged from within, and recently sued by Lim Kit Siang, but it seems she is being sabotaged from within FINAS!

Tony F can't hide weak penetration with dirty talk

The image of Tony F to the Malaysian public is that of someone able to talk back to authority, those in power, and make disturbing accusation of incumbent national airline, Malaysia Airlines.

Several months ago when he was embarassed by the reversal of MAS-Air Asia collaboration, he kept his macho composure to announce he is leaving for greener pasture of Indonesia and continued his fight with Malaysia Airports. 

After the announcement of new Malindo Airlines [read here], he continued his libido-filled talk.

Tony F sure gave us the impression that he's got a dong the size of his arm and able to outlast the "kelipatan orgasme" (by the way, thats an Indonesian terminology) of several partners.

Unfortunately, he disappointed Malaysia when he acknowledged to VIVANews Indonesia that he has a problem of "lemahnya penetrasi" (weak penetration) [read it here.].   

No wonder Tony F was heard lately to be indulging in dirty talks over the phone with his endless stream of SMSes. He was merely hiding his shortcomings to sustain arousal.

No Malaysian flag, not even for Merdeka day

Some group in Malaysia see nothing wrong with unfurling a flag claimed to be called Sang Saka Merah Putih which is similar to the flag of other countries and was intended to be similar to the flag of past left wing groups.

Lucky bastard. The action of the authority has thus far been soft. If it had been in America, flying a flag other than the star sprangled banner would have created an uproar and got oneself in the local papers.

And this was what happenned to a group of Malaysian students in Northfield, Illinois in an event organised to celebrate Merdeka.

The launch of the Malaysian Education Blueprint

Yesterday was the first day for the UPSR examination. The first paper is traditionally Bahasa Malaysia and followed by Mathematic.

On that important day for a 12 year old, the bigger story that should be the frontpage of all the mainstream and even alternative media today is the unveiling of the education reform blueprint.

This blog do not plan to go thorugh it. Suggest you'll spend your breakfast money on today's newspapers.

We wish to share a few thoughts that hit us upon leaving the KLCC Convention Hall yesterday afternoon.   

Air Asia under flank attack

Apanama has the story on a joint venture between National Aerospace & Defence Industries Sdn. Bhd (NADI) and an Indonesian conglomerate PT Lion Group (which owns Lion Air) here and here.

Many months back when Tony Fernandez was gloating about his regional move to Indonesia, this blog touch a bit about Lion Air. Basically, Lion Air is Indonesia’s largest privately run airline, capturing the largest share of the domestic market share. Read the link here.

Our source at Malaysia Airport said they were not threatened by Tony F's stunt. They know that Tony F will not have it as good as he had in Malaysia. The Indons shove it to him to move to Indonesia or he doesn't have anything to kelentong the dumb analysts at Bursa Kuala Lumpur for their future rapid growth.

Those in the know of the Indonesian terrain knows that while there is opportunity and potential growth for Air Asia, it is not easy to grabhold off. There is the existing big players and the authorities to contend with. And they are not the priority airline unlike in Malaysia where they abused their privelage.

Looks like not only there is no growth coming for Tony F from Indonesia. Maybe our source knows that Lion Air is coming to do a flank attack on his cashcow back home. 

No funny business in Johor

The Utusan Malaysia report headlined as the Sultan of Johor had cancelled the RM22 billion Mersing Laguna project, in which his highness had launched in April this year.

The announcement itself created attention in many ways. Other than the fact that cancellation of a project of such magnitude would attract attention, such headline involving a Sultan is uncommon. It seemed his highness role in the affair of government has goe beyond the usual role stipulated in the constitution of state enactment (constitution).

This blogger do not claim to know much of this project but wish to caution those quick with the gun to derive to a wrong conclusion. In Johor, the Article of Association of certain state organisation or companies empowers the Sultan to consent before any major appointments.

DAP at the fore in igniting Chinese racial sentiment

DAP have come out in defence of the teens who stepped on Prime Ministers photo, and as usual deflecting the incidents to the protestors who burned their leaders photos months ago.

As always, anything that can be made as issue, they will come to the fore, seemingly protecting the interests of the people involved…to project to the public that they are considerate and understand the issues.

On this incident, they said its rude but not seditious.

Pondering over patriotism

The Merdeka this year left a sour taste to many Malaysian. Events have led the public to seriously ponder over the subject of patriotism.

In fact, the Minister of Education cum Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that a new history syllabus have been developed and will soon be introduced that would boost patriotism. [Read The Star here]

In The Star yesterday Professor Shad Faruqi wrote an article entitled Nurturing Patriotism which is  legalistic with a tinge of liberal agenda in-fused.  [Read The Star here]

Merdeka month is an opportune time to ponder over patriotism.
