Perlembagaan Umno Benarkan EGM, Kata Ku Li
KUALA LUMPUR, 29 April (Bernama) -- Perlembagaan Umno membenarkan bahagian-bahagian parti mengadakan mesyuarat agung luar biasa (EGM), kata Ketua Umno Bahagian Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah hari ini.
"Perlembagaan parti membenarkannya.

Dear blogger, as of now, the rational of the move is to restore the people's confidence for the government. And this might be a way to do so. For as long as the whole point is decided for the benefit of we people of malaysia, I dont see it as such a big problem...
Saying that, it doesn't mean malaysiakini.com is doing so much to help instill belief that all this can work after the political tsunami. So there has to be a balance, and that is (maybe) what the decision is about. MY OPINION.
The issue is that there must be a balance in the writing on the medias. The medias must decide and provide a decent space for people to think for themselves, rather than follow what is being said by the government. We public have the right to know about everything that is happening.
kalau nak cakap macam itu saya rasa tidak adil. if we're saying mainstream media is biased, then it's not the only form of biased media. how much space in harakah, rocket and berita keadilan is given to the government?
Farzain - Why need to restore?
Did we not got the clear message frm the people and party members that they reject the party leadership? Pak Lah is not an indispensible leader. No leaders is, including Dr Mahathir!
We have no time to, I quote you, "this might be a way to do so". In stable environmnt, leadersip together with the strategy and structure is important to turn around organisation. Under crisis, it is more critical.
What is it that Pak Lah have that all of other leaders do not have? He doesn;t have the aptitude, attitude and ability to lead under current situation. In my book he wreck the country!
Do we sacrifice the party just for one person?!
Anon - Thanks for the reminder.
Phillips - Do update yourself from that old recycled propaganda.
Those are party papers and not mainstream media. WHat do you expect them to do? Sokong Pak Lah?
MSM has to be more professional and balanced in their reporting. In the past, MSM have a certain preference for Government news and pro Government opinion pieces becasue that is the major source of news.
The opposition were uninteresting then. However, news are reported as it is without manipulation and spinning.
Problem is the MSM now is not even pro Government. It has unfairly attacked Khir Toyo so vigorously that it is a major soure of image problem for Khir Toyo that we lost Selangor!
MSM is clearly under Kalimullah and scrutinous monitoring by Kamal Khalid is to make Pak Lah to be bigger than what he is not and preserve the "first family" interest. It has backfired and cause the election!
This piece highlight the fact that though it seems to are opening up, MSM is bias and manipulative on UMNO news.
Isn't it ironic that we could be open for the opposition and special interest group but not for our own party democratic revival?
I hope you see my point of view. Hope to continue to hear from you.
there are many other reasons for BN's loss in the GE, and blaming solely Pak Lah for it is unfair. Enemies of UMNO come from within and the best he can do right now is to rectify the problem. Pak Lah is not the reason for EVERYTHING. He is taking responsibility right now, and for having so many people blaming him for every single thing in the world, how the hell can we make it work?
Let's start anew, the reasons being thrown that Pak Lah is an incompetent leader is just some people's personal opinion. But don't forget there also those who think he is a good leader.
Farzain - You are partly right to say that he is not the cause of every problem.
Still all roads lead to tingkat 5 JPM, family and circle of Tingkat 4 JPM. Remember that a fish rotten from the head.
Fazrzain said Pak Lah is attempting something? Thats news. Why are the tingkat 4 boys still around?
Could Farzain explain why names like Zaid Ibrahim, Mat Taib, Ismail Sobri, Syed Hamid, Nazri, Azalina, etc. are on the cabinet?
Define the segment of people who thinks he is a great leader?
I agree with Farzain. Even though BN has lost 5 states, still majority of rakyat choose BN which means choose Pak lah. They choose him democratically and that shows the rakyat confident.
Like Phillix said, I also read the oppositions media either in the internet or in newspaper they are biased too. Like nothing is good done by BN?
Farzain - Great Generals lost war because they refuse to listen to bad news. Pak Lah's incompetence is mere personal opinion? Hmmm ... what is so great about him, if I could lend my ears.
Lelah Pak Lah - I said the same thing but some feel it is mere personal opinion. Lets hear them out, maybe they know better.
Faizal Mahyuddin - Are you aware that BN has a sub-50% popular vote in Semenanjung? It is slightly above 50% nationally with the help of Sabah and Sarawak.
With much talk (there is actually such talk mind you) of Sabah and Sarawak doing party-jumping, the above 50% national figure could be artificial.
I have not gone through the play-by-play statistics at state, parliment, adun, peti undi, and saluran.
Did you say vote for BN = vote and confidence for Pak Lah?
The readers here needs a more convincing argument than regurgitating simple minded ole propaganda. You guys not in the same team are you?
I don't mind really. But do take a read at my past posting on the assessment of the GE.
I welcome a factually strong and better argued counter opinion.
a voice,
I am not a political analyst, therefore whatever i say i know other people who oppose of pak lah will counter it better than i will. I accept that.
I just hope there's a shining hope for malaysian politics and that is where people remain to stay united and start believing that we can achieve political stability if we just back our leaders up.
Call me a positivist if you will, but with simple minded people like me, i tend not to be over analytical.
Bagus!
Nak mudah lagi, buka internet. Jangan beli suratkhabar. Baca berita online sahaja. Mudah kan?
